HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
CLASS: VIII
SUBJECT: SOCIAL SCIENCE

1. Prepare the timeline for various events in history of India from the coming of the British
to the revolt of 1857.
2. Paste the pictures of the governor generals OR the kings of India and give a brief
description of them around 20 to 30 words.

OR

1. Prepare 10 flashcards showing the endangered wildlife species of India and write
any 2-3 ways to save them( to be pasted on the full size sheet)

The students will collect the pictures of 10 endangered wildlife species and will make flashcards
using the following suggestion points:
● Area/Areas found
● year of extinction
● Reason /reasons for extinction.
● 2-3 ways to save them.

General instructions
1. Total number of pages 10 to 12 including the cover page certificate index and page
number.
2. The cover page should be made aesthetically. It should be creative indicating the name
of the student class section session and the name of the teacher to whom submitted.
3. The project must be handwritten
4. All the pictures downloaded from the internet must indicate the address of the website.
5. Last page of the project will be bibliography, indicating address of the website, books or
journals
6. The Project will be assessed on the basis of presentation, research, creativity and
following the guidelines.
