SUB 2: ENGLISH

1. Read the famous book ‘Treasure Island’ by R.L Stevenson

 Write a short summary of the story (80-100 words) and name the main characters.
 Choose 10 interesting adverbs, 10 adjectives and 10 abstract nouns from the book,
write their dictionary meanings, and use them in sentences of your own.
 Present your work creatively in a scrapbook.

Remember, you will have the assessments based on the story and the incidents, so
ensure that you read the entire text.

2. Complete all the units given in the English Workbook.

3. Practice your grammar skills throughout the holidays. Use some or all of the

Project on monuments of France and India

1. Select any five monuments of France or India.
2. Paste pictures of them.
3. Following points to be cover.
• General information about it.
• importance of monument.
• impact on tourism.
• maintenance of monument.
• impact on economy.
4. Do it in scrap file. Make it creative and innovative.

Note : Students with even Roll No. will take Indian monuments and students with odd Roll
No. will take French monuments.

To show that sum of the angles of a Triangle is 1800.
4) Do chapter assessments of: ( Maths book by S.Chand)
Chapter 1 (Integers), Chapter 2 (Fractions) and Chapter 3 (Decimals).
5) Learn Tables and Squares of number from 2 to 25.

SUB 5: SCIENCE
1) Prepare a chart on the processes involved in nutrition in animals and write the
definition of each process.
2) Collect samples of various Fibres. Paste them in a Scrapbook. Write their names and
characteristics.
3) Attempt HOTS Questions of Chapter-1, 2 & 3 from textbook in Science Practice
Notebook.
SUB 6: SOCIAL SCIENCE

A. PROJECT- Do any one of your choice.

1. Collect information and pictures of architectural monuments of the Sultanate

Period and make a collage.

2. Collect the samples of different types of rocks and mention its formation and
features.

3. Make a Chart or collage of the three organs of the government.

4. Make a model on Global Warming.

B. Learn chapter 1,2 and 3 History, 1& 2 Geography and 1,2,& 3 Social and Political life
for Terminal-I and Half-yearly Exam. Do Map Expert page no. 21,23,57,59 and 61.
