Dear Students
Monsoon Break is considered as the best time in the life of students as they get long break
from studies after the exam and enjoy it to the fullest.

Note:
 The homework has to be done separately in your subject notebooks.
 Enjoy the given activities.
 Do not rush to complete in one go.

Subject – English
Learning values-:
 Read Unit-2 (Section -2) The Cherry Tree
 Unit -3(section 2) Attila
 Underline difficult words of all above mentioned chapters and make their WORDS
LADDER.
 Make a FLOW CHART of Topic Parts of speech showing rules with examples.
Reading Time: Read the Tribune news paper everyday and do practice to communicate
publicly. Do reading as well.
Cooking time: Prepare a plain Parantha and write its process.
● Creativity:Make a poster on a topic ‘Noun’
● Make a poster on topic ‘Work is Worship’

Subject – Social Science

Locate the following on the map of India:
1. The Extent of the Indus Valley Civilisation (page no 28)
2. Extent of the Rig Vedic and Later Vedic Age
3. Physical features of India like the Himalayas Mountains, The Northern Plains, the Indian Desert,
the Central Plateau, The Western Ghats, and the Eastern Ghats
4 Indian States and capitals (Use political Map)

1. Verify that sum of all angles of triangle is 180°.

3. Do end exercise from page 80,81 of book.
4. Learn and write tables from 2 to 15 in notebook.

Activity:- (a) Cut a pizza into equal parts. Distribute among your family members and write the
answers (as fractions) of the following questions on your holiday homework notebook.
(i) What fraction was given to your father?
(ii) What fraction was eaten by you?
(b) Find the area of your study table in meters and centimeters .

1) 10 पृ ष्ठ सु लेख लिखें ।
2) रोज समाचार पत्र पढ़ें और पाँच नए शब्द अर्थ लिखकर शब्द भं डार पर बल दें ।
3) पॉचं सु विचार लिखे व याद करें ।

Subject – Science
1. Make a list of 5 to 10 plants from your neighbourhood. Place them in the category of herbs,
shrubs and creepers.
2. Collect leaves and roots of 5 plants.Dry by keeping them on sheets of newspaper under heavy
object like piles of books and classify the different types of leaves and roots on the basis of their
appearance.
Paste the above in A4 sheet.
