DIABETES
A fasting blood sugar level of 70-99 mg/dLnormal, 100 to 125 mg/dL
indicates you have prediabetes, and 126 mg/dL or higher indicates you
have diabetes.
BLOOD GLUCOSE:
 FASTING BG LEVEL=126 mg/dL (7.0 mmol/L) or higher.
 RANDOM BG LEVEL (non-fasting person.) = is higher than 200
mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L).
HEMOGLOBIN A1C (also called glycosylated or glycolated hemoglobin)
 hemoglobin A1C level of 6.5% or more have diabetes. If the level is
between 5.7 and 6.4, they have prediabetes and are at risk of
developing diabetes.

With an insulin pump, insulin aspart, glulisine or lispro provide both basal
and bolus insulin replacement.
