2. THE TOUCH TRACK OF
HOMESCHOOL GLOBAL
2.1. HOMESCHOOL YEAR
AT A GLANCE
Planning out your child’s school year can be
a little overwhelming for some—particularly if
it’s your first time. Here are the essential first
steps you need to take to map out your child’s
education:
1. Before starting, read and comply with the
instructions in the Welcome Email.Feel
free to consult with your Learning Advisor
if you are still in the process of deciding
which books to get.
2. Sign up and attend the Homeschool 101
training. You may register here.
3. Complete your child’s Pre-Test within 14
days after receiving the email from the
testing team.
4. Ensure that you have your account details
for your Online Grading System (OGS).
5. Make sure you have purchased the
correct materials for your child, or have
had non-HG standard curricula reviewed
and approved for use by your Family
Advisor.
6. Go through quarterly to semi-annual
portfolio reviews.
7. Conduct the Post-Test (a reminder will be
sent to you on the 10th month).
8. When you are done with your school
year, submit your child’s grades and get
clearance to re-enroll.
2.2. STAKEHOLDER ROLES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.2.1. Parent or Legal Guardian. You play
a key role in the success of your child’s
learning, especially in a homeschool setup.

you increase your involvement in your child’s

Reporting of grades (quizzes, performance
tasks/projects, recitation/participation) is
part of your quarterly tasks. Ensure that all
grades are encoded on the OGS.
2.2.2. Student. Your child, the student
enrolled in the Touch Track, is encouraged
to learn and explore his/her learning style to
the best of his/her ability.
2.2.3. Dedicated Learning Advisor.
Your Learning Advisor provides academic
supervision and support tailored according
to your needs. Throughout your homeschool
year, your Learning Advisor is here to:
• Help you personalize and customize your
child’s curriculum to maximize his/her learning
potential
• Provide you with support ensuring that
parents and students are on track with
accurate records
• Offer academic guidance in accordance
with their individual educational expertise
• Assist you with any Learn program
services and concerns
2.2.4. Family Advisor.
A seasoned homeschooler herself, your
dedicated Family Advisor (FA) will partner with
you through your homeschooling journey. Your
FA will support and encourage you every step
of the way in your homeschooling journey as
well as in setting up initially. She is here to:
• Serve as a counselor, encourager, and
resource to turn to for tips and ideas
• Facilitate quarterly or semi-annual portfolio

reviews and provide input on the grades
• Assist with curriculum decisions, help keep
parents and students on track with their
homeschool year, and manage recordkeeping
• Provide you with biblical counsel,
emotional and practical support throughout
the homeschool year
2.3. GETTING STARTED
Your official school year will start as soon
as you have completed your curriculum
materials, which is the start of your
Parent-Teacher Certification, and attended
the mandatory Homeschool 101 training.
2.3.1. Homeschool 101.
This is your first step in equipping yourselves
as Parent-Teachers and is a valuable part of
our services. More in-depth discussion on
matters pertaining to the Touch Track shall
be tackled during the orientation. You may
register here.
2.3.2. Homeschool Scheduling
2.3.2.1. DEPED ACCREDITATION (VCIS).
You have ten (10) months to complete your
academic year. Allot at least fifty (50) days per
quarter. Involve your student in planning your
schedule, and modify it from time to time
as needed. Establish routines that will work
best for your child’s learning style/preference.
Consider that a child may have different
pacing for different subjects. Avoid scheduling
difficult subjects next to each other. Whether
you’re a family of early birds or night owls, you
can do school when it’s best for you. Whenever
suits your family is the best time to learn.
An extension of up to three (3) months after
the academic year is permissible. However,
kindly note that there shall be an extension
of the Tuition Fees prorated to the additional
number of months. Failure to complete all
the Academic Requirements within fifteen (15)
months will automatically mean ‘Dropped’
from the programme. Please contact your
Learning Advisor or Family Advisor to discuss
this matter thoroughly.
2.3.2.2. US ACCREDITATION (WCFS).
You have ten (10) months to complete your
academic year. Also, if you require a National
Collegiate Athletic Association-accredited
course for US college admission, then you
only have ten (10) months to complete your
academic year.
2.3.2.3. SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Although we
do close our main office and Touch Track
personnels are off on certain holidays
during the year, students can access their
courses and maintain momentum in their
learning, even when other schools are closed.
Students are encouraged to work flexibly and
comfortably through the academic year.
2.3.3. Student’s Progress and Evaluation
2.3.3.1. PORTFOLIO REVIEWS. The Portfolio
Review is your child’s quarterly assessment
with us. This is a discussion between your
child and his/her Advisor where they go
through all the important learnings and
goals achieved throughout the term. This
assessment is for one (1) hour/student (45
minutes with the student and 15 minutes
providing feedback to the parent). Each child
shall be given a designated Portfolio Review
Schedule every Portfolio Month. Please note
that your child’s homeschool target months for
Portfolio Reviews are as follows:
• February
• May
• August
• November
Please note that the specific dates in your
commitment forms are not hard dates but
guides as to how you can divide your quarters.
Note: You cannot proceed with your Portfolio
Review unless you have encoded the grades
in the Online Grading System (OGS). Actual
Portfolio Review dates are confirmed after
Advisor has checked the grades in the OGS.
More in-depth discussion on how to prepare
and what is included in the Portfolio Review
shall be tackled during the Homeschool 101
Training (all parents are mandated to attend).
2.3.3.2. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
Academic integrity is the cornerstone of learning
at Homeschool Global. We require the original
work of all students and in so doing, prohibits
plagiarism of the work of others and cheating.

Students shall be expected to properly cite the
origin of work that is not the student’s own.
Work content, other than commonly known
facts, not properly cited, attributed, or credited
will not be graded.
2.3.3.3. APPOINTMENTS
We encourage you to make an appointment with
your assigned Advisor via Calendly to secure
your family’s schedule.
Important to note:
1. We encourage you to schedule portfolio
reviews or consultation (one-on-one with
families) appointments fourteen (14) days
prior to the date of your choice.
2. Please arrive ten (10) minutes before
your appointment schedule. We may still
accommodate latecomers, but kindly note that
the time frame of the appointment will only be
within your scheduled allotment.
3. Appointment schedule will only be given a
15-minute grace period, especially without
prior notice.
4. After the grace period, your appointment
schedule may be given to someone else.
5. For appointment cancellations, kindly notify your
respective Advisor at least fourteen (14) days
before the said appointment.
6. All appointments shall take place in our office or
at any one of our satellite locations. No individual
appointment schedule may be entertained in
private homes, restaurants, or cafés unless
otherwise initiated and confirmed officially by
Homeschool Global.
2.3.3.4. ONLINE GRADING SYSTEM
Recordkeeping of grades is a must in your
homeschooling journey. To help you, we are
currently using an Online Grading System.
Instead of keeping it in an Excel file, this is
where you will keep and encode all grades of
the students.
Each family under DepEd Accreditation (Grades
1 to 10) will be issued an OGS account where
you input your child’s scores in the quizzes,
performance tasks, and projects in each
subject quarterly. Take note of your account
details when you receive them via email, and
save them for your future use. It is best to
have a backup record of the student’s grades
in case of technical glitches. The system will
calculate your child’s scores cumulatively,
which will be reflected as the final grade per
subject. OGS is also an important part of the
Touch Track as you will use this to request for
a Portfolio Review schedule from your advisor
and will serve as the basis for your child’s
Report Card (F-138).
How it works:
• Open the correct website via Google
Chrome browser only (it doesn’t

global/Clear the browser’s histor y, cache,
or cookies.

• Manually encode the username and
password. Please do not copy and paste.
• As a parent, you need to provide and
input 80% of your child/ren’s grades
at the end of each quar ter before
scheduling your Por t folio Review with
your Advisor.
• The remaining 20% of the grades will
come from your Advisor based on the
por t folio review.
• Parents can only edit the quizzes,
recitation, and project tab while advisors
can only edit the por t folio review tab.

2.3.3.5. PRE-TEST AND POST-TEST
MobyMax is a new web-based assessment
and learning resource that finds and fixes
learning gaps through personalized learning.
MobyMax’s adaptive curriculum creates an
individualized education plan for each student,
allowing gifted students to progress as quickly
as they like while simultaneously ensuring that
remedial students get the extra instruction
they need.
This tool will be used as a basis for the pre-
test and post-test of Grades 1 to 12 students
and will cover Math and Language. It is used
worldwide by over 28 million students. It is
also the most awarded edtech company in
2018 and has earned 59 industry awards in the
past two years, including the 2018 Tech Edvocate
Award for Best Global EdTech Company.
Aside from using this tool for your child’s pre-
and post-tests, the subscription to MobyMax
will include online remedial activities to fix the
child’s learning gaps in Math, Language, and
Science (with the latter as optional subject
that you may add).
You are free to access the diverse lessons and
manipulatives included in the tool for the whole
school year. On the 10th month after your official
registration, an email reminder will be sent along
with further instructions for your child’s post-test.
2.3.3.6. PURCHASING OF BOOKS
Once you have received your Book Order Form
from the cashier or via email, you may use that
as your reference for ordering your child’s books.
You may also consult your assigned Learning
Advisor for assistance in selecting the books for
your child/ren. Afterwards, you may either:
• Proceed to the Learning Plus online store
and select your Track and Grade Level
from the order form dropdown menu.
Add the titles you need to your shopping
car t. Register your details and select your
preferred payment and shipping methods.
• Visit the nearest Learning Hub by
Homeschool Global and purchase your
books over the counter.
2.3.3.7. TRAININGS, EVENTS, AND CLASSES
Trainings
Homeschooling can be more manageable if you
are equipped with the necessary knowledge and
skills of teaching in the homeschool context.
Equip is one of HG’s learning services that
provides relevant parent-teacher trainings for
homeschool success. Plan to attend at least one
every quarter and see the difference it will have
on your homeschool journey, and even earn a
teacher certification when you attend all!
• Homeschool 200 Series (Academic
Management Training) *This is a workshop
series wherein the academic skills of
curriculum mapping, test construction,
rubrics, grading, and learning time & area
management are explored and practiced.
These workshops are designed to help
homeschooling parent-teachers align with
the basic rudiments of academic teaching
practice.

Events
Shine, or the Events Program of Homeschool
Global, celebrates special milestones in
your homeschool journey through heartfelt,
meaningful events. Families will experience
diverse activities, from the glamour of the
Purity Ball to the unique ceremony at our
Commencement Exercises. Events give an
opportunity for those in our program to
celebrate families and the larger community of
Homeschool Global as a whole.
Some of the events we have are the following:
• Purity Ball. A special two-part event where
parents and children will delve into the
issues of purity and its relevance today,
especially in the context of families.
Participants will also make a commitment
to be responsible men and women of
integrity in all areas of purity.
• Homeschool Global Student Summit. An
event where students get to showcase
their abilities in academics, spor ts, and
ar ts while building relationships and new
friendships with students across the
Philippines.
• Family Sports Day. Happening simultaneously
in different hubs with families from different
learn groups, this aims to provide an active
experience that encourages camaraderie,
fellowship among families, and friendly
athletic competition.
• HG Plus (Parent Level Up Seminars). A free
training and development event designed
to encourage and equip HG parents at
every stage of homeschooling, it’s teeming
with talks from various experts in learning
and home education, as well as activities
to strengthen you as you press on in
homeschooling. Simultaneously, your
kids can enjoy various fun activities and
strengthen bonds with their peers.
• HG’s Got Talent. Encourage your child to
showcase his/her singing, dancing, and
acting skills in front of the HG community
at this talent extravaganza!
• Community Acquaintance Fair. Connect with
your respective HG hub teams and fellow
homeschooling families through exciting
activities at this whole-day event! Meet
and greet your learn group to kickstart
your homeschooling year stronger together.
• One HG Thanksgiving. Wrap up the
year that was in thanksgiving with
your respective HG hub families as we
simultaneously celebrate across regions!

LP Classes is a service of HG that
provides quality enrichment classes to the
homeschooling and non-homeschooling
community. We provide Music, Arts, and
Physical Education classes as well as creative
and equipping workshops for the students.

Important Note: Children enrolled under
the TLC Advisory are guided to plan out their
Music, Arts, and Physical Education journeys
in collaboration with their respective auxiliary
support personnel recommended in their
Diagnostic Evaluative Reports submitted upon
enrollment.
2.3.3.8. BE PART OF A LEARN GROUP
Learn Groups are homeschooling families
enrolled with Homeschool Global who are
grouped together, by location for convenience,
for portfolio reviews, for self-initiated activities
like field trips, team teaching, science
experiments, or MAPE sessions for mutual
support and encouragement. The Connect
Team oversees this program.
What better way to make learning fun,
thrilling, and engaging than to get connected
to a community of homeschoolers. Because
homeschooling is unconventional and strange
for new families, we need other families for
support. It is in the Learn Group where the
decision to homeschool is strengthened and
kept alive. Several logs burn much brighter
together, but pull out one log and its fire
quickly burns out. Being in a Learn Group will
“keep the fire burning.”
Learn Groups are burnout busters. While
homeschooling can be a rewarding experience
for families, doing it is not really easy.
It requires a commitment of time and
effort, steadfastness, some know-how, and
confidence. It is easy enough to get burned out
if you manage home on top of homeschooling.
And because there are inevitable low moments,
parents need encouragement from like-minded
parents whom they can run to for help. So going
to a Learn Group can be a time of refreshing or
a deserved break.
Learn Groups mean teamwork. Parents with
strengths and passion in some academic
subjects, topics, or skills can come forward
and volunteer to help. Children learn how to
relate and do things together with others.
Portfolio reviews can be done here as a group
to develop social and presentation skills.
Sure, this may require some time and energy
but the synergy that comes from doing things
together and, perhaps, pooling resources,
make the effort priceless for our children.
What benefits can members of a Learn
Group experience?
• Advice on project ideas, field trip
destinations, tips on get ting a child’s
cooperation, managing your homeschool
hours, teaching st yles, enrichment
resources, and others. This will reinforce
a family’s interactions with their Advisor.
• Creation of a larger environment where
children are af firmed, motivated to do
their best work, and bring their projects
to completion by the time required.
Working towards goals and deadlines
is developed in the context of a Learn
Group event.
• Mentoring relationships where a parent
takes the initiative to be mentored
by a more senior homeschool parent;
for example, teaching at tentiveness
or obedience or teaching Language
and Math more ef fectively, or teaching
techniques and strategies.
• Tutoring relationships where a parent
with strength in one area volunteers to
teach other children who have dif ficult y
with cer tain subjects or skills, like
Reading with Comprehension, Advanced
Math, Geometr y, Chemistr y, or Physics.
• Constant exchange of best practices or
successful methods on academic and
non-academic mat ters.
• Mutual accountabilit y where
members a gree to help each other
keep track of learning goal s and
completion of deadlines.
• Praying for each other—a key factor to
the success of one’s homeschooling.
Thus, members of your group help ser ve
as your “prayer warriors.”
Who can join?
All Homeschool Global-enrolled families are
assigned a Family Advisor for their school
year. Next, the Connect Team gets you

connected to a Learn Group in your area.
They also plan a Meet-and-Greet session
with the Advisor and the families in her Learn
Group. The session would include a getting-to-
know-you time, exchange of mobile numbers
and email addresses, making sure you are in
the Viber group, and finally setting clear goals,
expectations, activities, and agreeing to the
frequency of Learn Group meetings.
It can be a good idea for first-time homeschooling
families to join up with families who have had
more years of homeschooling. Families are
encouraged to join Fams of HG, Homeschool
Global’s virtual community for this school year.
Get to know each other’s strengths, skills,
interests, and what sort of contribution each
one could make in the area of cooperative
learning and resourcing. Always agree on costs
to cover materials, food, venue, etc. before
they are incurred to avoid misunderstandings.
Avoid borrowing/lending money from each
other or conducting business together. We want
to protect everyone and keep standards and
systems at par. Always keep homeschooling
goals as the main focus of your group. Please
make sure you are connected to one of the
various Learn Groups in the city nearest you!
We are also in search for more volunteers who
can help Family Advisors facilitate Learn Group
activities in the different areas. If that is you,
please sign up as a Learn Group volunteer.
We would love to meet with you and talk
about how we can function harmoniously and
move forward in unison like a living, breathing
organism. This is how we see Learn Group
communities emerge and the homeschooling
movement in the Philippines expand!

3.1. PAYMENT AND
REFUND POLICIES
Full Tuition Fee payment must be received before
the start of the academic year. Payment methods
available are cash, cheque, debit/credit card (VISA
and Mastercard), and bank or telegraphic transfer

2.3.3.9. HIGH UNITE
We believe that every homeschooler should
be provided with a number of great
opportunities to develop holistically as
well as platforms to excel in their skill.
This is where High Unite comes in. High
Unite is an international, student-led

signature events such as youth camps, balls,

people, which in turn results in them having a
better understanding of the world around them.

programs such as music, dance,
documentation, and writing clubs, as well as
basketball, volleyball, swimming, football and
table tennis varsities to ensure that every
homeschooler grows to be well-rounded and
excellent in their homeschool journey. High
Unite has a leadership training avenue as
well called the Legacy Program where select
individuals are intentionally mentored to lead
High Unite and even become its CEO! To get

1. The tuition fee covers services only until the
12th month from the date of enrollment. An
extension fee of one (1) month’s worth of

 Tuition Fee will be charged for every month,
or fraction of a month, of extended stay in the
program (only up to three months allowable
extension). Beyond the three-month period, the
student/s will be automatically dropped from
the program.
2. A student who transfers or otherwise
withdraws, in writing, within two (2) weeks
after he has already paid the pertinent tuition
and other school fees, in full or any partial rate
equivalent to longer than one month, may be
charged ten percent (10%) of the total amount
due for the term if he withdraws within the
first week, or twenty percent (20%) if within the
second week. The student may be charged all
the school fees in full if he withdraws any time
after the second week. However, if the transfer
or withdrawal is due to a justifiable reason, the
student shall be charged the pertinent fees only
up to and including the month of attendance
(DepEd policy on refund as stipulated in the 1992
Manual of Regulations for private schools, 8th
Edition). This request should be done in writing.
3. In order to avail of the Two (2) Payment and
Five (5) Payment Schemes, postdated checks
must be issued upon enrollment as payment for
succeeding tuition balance/s (dates and amounts
to be determined by the cashier). At the back of
each cheque, the following information must be
indicated: NAME OF STUDENT/S AND PARENT’S
CONTACT NUMBER.
Important Note: The Two-Payment and Five-
Payment schemes are only applicable to families
residing in the Philippines.
4. Returned cheque should be settled
immediately and will incur a penalty charge of
PHP1,000.00. For every or fraction of a week of
non-payment, a two percent (2%) surcharge
will be added to the amount indicated in
returned or held cheque/s. Payments that are
incomplete during the registration deadline will
be assessed a late enrollment fee of PHP1,500.00
minimum or five percent (5%) of the lacking
amount, whichever is greater. Please take
note of the provisions and penalties stated in
Batas Pambansa Blg. 22 regarding the making
or drawing and issuance of a cheque without
sufficient funds or credit and for other purposes.

are requesting for, all financial obligations settled.

document is ready for pick up. You may also send an
authorized representative to claim it. They must bring
their valid ID and your signed authorization letter.
Necessary fees apply. Please take note that the official
release of the report card is only after ten (10) months
or at a minimum of two hundred (200) school days
(not counting Saturdays and Sundays).
Request for Student Academic Report (WCFS)
Requirements: Complete enrollment documents,
duly-accomplished Course Registration Form
and Semestral Progress Report/s, both properly
uploaded to the student’s online folder, all
financial obligations settled.
Processing time: Five (5) working days

document is ready for pick up. You may also
