Performance Task: Quarter 3

“Math can be related to our lives. It teaches us to always be careful with the signs.”

Mathematics is one of the most important subject, it is what we use on our daily basis. Without
mathematics we can’t tell the time, we can’t solve our finances, and we can’t build structures.
Mathematics also helps us solve problems, not only math problems but also real-life problems.

We can learn a lot from mathematics. This quarter, I’ve learned a lot like distance and
permutation. That is where I learned that we should always be careful with the signs because we cannot
undo wat has been done. Mathematics requires focus, in order to have the correct answer, you need to
be focus.

As time goes by, I realized that even on one wrong sign your whole solving will be incorrect. I’ve
already experienced having wrong signs while solving math, and that teaches me to be careful with the
sign and to do better. That mistakes have serve as my motivation to have the correct answer, we cannot
undo our mistakes but we should not continue doing it.

Some students hate mathematics, I used to hate it also because many of the concepts are abstract
and can be hard to master. Problem solving, equations, and variables are difficult to understand, but we
need it for our daily basis and for our future career. Practice and willingness are our key to understand it
correctly but always be careful with the signs.
