Summary:
This article focuses on the effects of interpersonal communication skills and

speaking and vocabulary proficiency. The method used in this research are direct and

indirect method, and the approach used was quantitative through the correlation method,

on the other hand, the tool that the researcher applied was an explanatory survey. The

data was acquired and collected from a number of interest groups for the researcher.

The participants were 40 students from the University of Jakarta were put to the test

with their speaking skills and interpersonal communication, and the results were that

there is a significant effect of interpersonal ability with a total of 25 students with good

level of interpersonal communication and good management of speaking skill while 15

had a lower score in this research.

Interpersonal communication is based on the exchange of words through

information between two or more people, it is an area of study, during the use of

interpersonal communication we can observe and listen to the sending of messages and

receiving messages, this type of communication has its achievement or has had its goal

when the senders and receivers understand the message, this helps you a lot to improve
your ability to express yourself and speak in any language you need to improve and put

it into practice
