1. Profile of Dr Shataakshi Dahal
Dr. Shataakshi has managed preclinical research projects resulting in more than $2.5 million in grant
funding, 7 peer-reviewed publications and few more currently in review, more than 15 conference
abstracts /presentations and 2 invited talks. She has led collaboration projects resulting in the establishment
of in-house tissue bio-bank, development of a new method for semi-automatic quantification of
extracellular matrix structure from histological specimen.
2. Profile of Dr Rakshit Shah
Dr. Rakshit Shah is a research scientist at Abbott Industries. He worked previously at eminent universities
such as University of Arizona and Cleveland State University. Dr. Shah did his PhD at Cleveland Clinic –
Lerner’s Institute on Biomedical Engineering. He has been working on Hand research for over a decade
now and have ties with both academia and industry.
3. Profile of Kishor Lakshmi Narayanan
Dr. Kishor Lakshminarayanan has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering research with 5 years of experience in
developing medical devices, technologies, and strategies for rehabilitation. Working as an Asst. Professor
in Biomedical Engineering at VIT, Vellore.
4. Profile of Arunkumar Chandrasekhar
Arunkumar Chandrasekhar, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sensors and
Biomedical Technology, Vellore Institute of Technology, India. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at
the Nanomaterials and Systems Laboratory, South Korea. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechatronics
Engineering from Jeju National University, South Korea, where he was a recipient of a scholarship from
the Korean Government Scholarship Program.
