Theoretical Framework

According to Robert Mott, (2013) in his book entitled “Machine Elements in Mechanical
Design” the rating of chain for its power transmission capacity considers three modes of failure:
(1) fatigue of the link plates due to the repeated application of the tension in the tight side of the
chain, (2) impact of the rollers as they engage the sprocket teeth, and (3) galling between the pins
of each link and the bushings on the pins. The ratings are based on empirical data with a smooth
driver and a smooth load (service factor = 1.0) and with a rated life of approximately 15 000 h.
The important variables are the pitch of the chain and the size and rotational speed of the smaller
sprocket. Lubrication is critical to the satisfactory operation of a chain drive. Manufacturers
recommend the type of lubrication method for given combinations of chain size, sprocket size,
and speed. Details are discussed later.

An inverted tooth chain drive system includes an inverted tooth chain structured for inside
flank engagement. The chain includes link rows each including leading inside flanks that project
outwardly relative to trailing outside flanks of a preceding link row. The system further includes
a sprocket with which said inverted tooth chain is drivingly engaged. The sprocket includes a
plurality of teeth circumferentially spaced about an axis of rotation, each tooth comprising an
engaging flank and a disengaging flank.

A Review on Movement Device of Double Rotating Shafts by Xu Anci (2014) stated that
synchronous movement device of a kind of pair of rotating shaft, under conditions of a
requirement is simplified, making double rotating shaft (including the first axle and the second
axle) possess has the effect being synchronized with the movement. This synchronous movement
device includes being arranged on the first rotor of the first axle, third trochanter, is arranged on
the second rotor of the second axle, fourth trochanter. And, a tractive unit configuration connects
the first rotor (third trochanter) and the second rotor (fourth trochanter).

As stated in the book of Journal of Engineering and Technology by Naota Yamamoto et.al,
(2013) a rolling bearing includes rolling elements between an outer race and an inner race, a
resin seal ring covering an opening of at least one end of a bearing space, and a filter covering an
oil hole defined in the resin seal ring for capturing foreign matter contained in lubricating oil.
The filter and the resin seal ring are integrated by insert molding and are made of the same
material. An annular lip portion, which is separate from the resin seal ring, is in contact with the
outer race.

The working principle of an electric motor includes an upper housing, a lower housing

including a flange for mounting the upper housing thereon and a cone-shaped portion extending
away from the flange and the upper housing. The electric motor further includes a stator
assembly formed of a first core having a first height and fitted into the upper housing, a rotor
assembly rigidly joined to a shaft to rotate therewith within the stator assembly and formed of a
second core having a second height, and a hub connected to a lower end of the shaft to rotate
therewith in relation to the cone-shaped portion

The juice of the majority of fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, and herbs is mechanically
separated from the solid portion (pulp) by a device called a juice extractor. The pulp is typically
thrown away, but it can also be used to make breads like muffins or compost.

Given that most juice extractors are electric, using them is easier than using manual ones.
The researchers used the preceding principle of operation regarding belts and pulleys, shaft,
bearing, motor, and extractor as their guides to develop the calamansi juice extractor.
