A highly controversial issue today relates to whether the principle possitive effect of global cooperation
only appear on economic aspect rather than environmental protection. In this essay, I am going to
analyze both sides of this argument and then give my own perspective why I believe the arguments for
economic interests are stronger.

There are people who argue that the beneficial impacts with regard to natural environment of
worldwide cooperative activities considerably outweigh its influences on economic development. The
main reason for believing this is that by collaborating together, mankind has more opportunities to
formally establish environmental protection programs at global level, which in turn help to facilitate
preservation efforts becoming more successful. For example, the European Union and 192 countries
have signed for The Paris agreement and The Kyoto protocol regarding limit global warming and
reducing the level of greenhouse gases. Such commitments have been doing excellently on rising the
awareness of developing nations as well as developed nations about the essential role of climate
change.

On the other hand, others believe that it presents more great advantages on impulses for world
economy in general and economies of the developing countries in particular. It is often argued that with
most countries, especially those is in process of developing, what motivates solely them to work with
others is economic growth and financial supports. People generally have this viewpoint because they
feel that it is difficult to align the priorities of self-interested nations with this worldwide concern.
Furthermore, global integration is considered as a efficient policy for boosting finance owing to the wide
