By this point, you should have more than enough knowledge to set up your Google
Ads account, manage your products and tun effective search and shopping
campaigns to promote your eCommerce website.
But now it's time to go up one more level and set up your first Google retargeting ads.
Just login to your Google Ads dashboard, click the search icon and type in "Audience
Manager". This is where you can view and crate specific audiences of people to display
your ads to.
This tells Google to show these particular ads to everyone who has visited your
website which they should be tracking if you setup your conversions correctly in the Click Here To Download
first video.
You can also use this feature to retarget visitors of a specific product page or product
category. I recommend setting up once general retargeting audience and separate
more specific ones for each product category.
The last thing to set up on this page before you save your custom audience is the
membership duration. This tells Google how long to display ads to the users who
match your targeting.

By default, this is going to be set to 30 days, but I personally recommend you change
this to 14 days. I've found that any longer than that and your warm leads quickly turn
cold and need to be targeted again with your regular ads.
Once you've filled this all in just click "Create Audience" and you're ready to set up
your ads.
The only difference between a regular campaign and this will be the targeting.
Simply select your new custom audience next time you're building a campaign and
you'll also have the option of adding interests and custom demographics to narrow
your audience even further.
Personally, I leave all these settings as is to make sure I'm not excluding any potential
buyers while trying to improve targetting.
Along with that I also recommend setting the "targeting expansion" to none. This will
show some of your retargeting ads to people very similar to your website viewers. You
can choose to experiment with this on your own, but if your intentions are to retarget
your website viewers, just do that.
Now, all that's left to do is design your ads, start them running and pat yourself on the
back. You now know how to set up your Google Ads account, how to create and target
campaigns and even run retargeting ads to your visitors.
