In connection to the review meeting vide above reference, we would like to mention here that the field

installation of 3 m3/d capacity wastewater treatment unit in Kharagpur Sub Divisional Hospital,
Kharagpur is under progress. As per the sanction order no. DST/IMRD/India-EU/Water
Call2/PAVITR/2018(G) & (C), dated March 31, 2019, the total budget allocated to IIT KGP is Rs. 47.19
lakhs (Rupees Forty seven lakhs and nineteen thousand) only, which significantly deviates from our
original proposal. In light of this we would like to highlight the following:

 Analyzing micro-pollutants in the aqueous environment requires analytical processes like HPLC,
GC, LC-MS, IC, etc. In order to efficiently evaluate the removal of micro-pollutants, we require
an additional cost of Rs.22,32,000 (Table 1).
 For efficient functioning of the treatment plant and handover to the stakeholders, proper training
should be given by IITKGP. An additional cost of Rs.5,00,000 is required for organizing training
seminars (Table 2).
 Discussion regarding how to overcome the work delay due to the pandemic.
 Discussion regarding process for transportation and installation of TOXIDATION module.

*Sample points- 1 sampling point will be from raw wastewater at inlet point and 1 sampling point will
be at the final effluent. The 3rd sampling point will be variable and can be considered after any of the
intermediate treatment systems.
