This is the launch project of Istanbul Aydin University together with our differences –
“Farklılıklarla Birarada” as part of “Together with our Differences” Project of Social Work
and Social Services Department. We are going to bring together international students with
social work students. The idea of the “Together with our Differences” project is to bring
together international students first with social work students and decrease their social
distance to differences and then at the final phase you will have the opportunity to meet with
students from all over the campus after a research study has been done.
Hello everybody, I am Meryem Erol. I’m a third-year student of the Social Work department
at this university. I am Turkish originally but, in my family, my grandmother has a different
origin. She has a Georgian background but disappointingly, she speaks Turkish but doesn't
know Georgian.
Hello I'm Aloysious Tumusiime from Kigali, Rwanda East Africa. It’s my first year in Business
Management.
Hi everyone I am Arzu I am a student in Istanbul Aydin University’s Social Work department.
I am Turkish. I was born in Bartın, which is a small city in Turkey, but I have been in Istanbul
for three years for my higher education.

Hello everybody. My name is Leyla Rustamova. I’m a third-year student at Istanbul Aydin
University I'm studying business administration and I came from Turkmenistan. I speak
Turkish, Turkmen, Russian and English.
My name is Michal. I'm from Poland and I speak like two and a half languages you can say
that. It's Polish, English and a little Turkish you know, just enough to get by. It’s my third
Erasmus actually. And I'm very glad to be here and very nice to meet you. Michal

I am Saliha. I am a student at Istanbul Aydin University’s Social Work Department. And I was
born in Trabzon in the north of Turkey on the Black Sea coast. The origin of my family is
Chepni, Chepni are a branch of the Oguz tribe.
My name is Mohammed Khreis, I'm from Jordan, and I study industrial engineering. I speak
two languages; Arabic and English. And I'm really happy to be here at Istanbul Aydin
University, and I've learned a lot of new stuff here in Turkey.
Hello, I am Ayşe Terziören. I am a third-year student at Istanbul Aydin University’s Social
Work department. I was born in Kırklareli and grew up in Istanbul. I am visually impaired
and I am the student representative for disabled students on the campus.
Hello everyone, my name is Efe. I study Civil Aviation Management at Istanbul Aydin
University. I'm an international student from Romania, but originally, I'm Turkish. And I
speak six languages. Well, not all of them native level, but not bad, some of them. And besides
that, I'm happy to be here and part of this project, in order to gain your experiences and
create new stories.
Hello guys, my name is Beart HOTI. I am from Kosova, I’m Albanian. I am studying in North
Macedonia but I used Erasmus program to come here just for one semester.
Hi guys, I am Yusuf. I am 21 years old. I am a third-year social work student and I am a
Turkish actor.
I am Zeynep. I am a student at Istanbul Aydin University at the social work department and
it's my third year. Turkey is my home country. I was born in Zonguldak, a mining city in the
north of Turkey. But we moved to Istanbul 20 days after my birth because my family found
a new job here.
My name is Mikolaj, I am an Erasmus student from Poland. I study English linguistics. And
I'm happy that I took the opportunity to study here at Istanbul Aydin University.

language is English. I've been living here for five years.

at Istanbul Aydin University. I live in Istanbul but my hometown is Kastamonu, a city in
