1. The department should undertake periodic inspections of
medication storage areas throughout the hospital to ensure
appropriate levels of properly stored medications, to monitor
expiration dates, and to remove unnecessary stock.
2. Should establish a readily retrievable trail of accountability
record for each individual drug unit for easy monitoring.
3. Establish procedures and approved product list for therapeutics
