Be With Girls is an international conference that held once in a year by BeWithYou

Indonesian to celebrate #16ofActivismAgainstGenderBasedViolence and International Day of
the Girls. At this international conference, we gather young people around the world to take
action and connect. At Be With Girls in 2020 to 2021, we reach more than 300 young people
supporting the programmes and in collaboration with these international organization to support
gender equality: WAGGGS World, Agomoni India, IYAFA Sudan, IPMI International Business
School, Cat Calls of NYC, Youth for Change Bangladesh. This activity aims to build and
provide a safe space for young people, especially girls and minority groups, to be able to voice
their voices and to support equality. This year, the title of the conference is Girls Leadership for
Transform Education.

The reason of why we addressed this in our conference is that we can see, in
worldwide 129 million girls are out of school including, 32 million of primary school age , 30
million of lower-secondary school age and 67 million of upper-secondary school age.  In
countries affected by conflict, girls are more than twice as likely to be out of school than girls
living in non-affected countries. Only 49 % of countries have achieved gender parity in primary
education. According to the Southern and Eastern Africa Consortium for Monitoring Education
Quality (SACMEQ), two out of five school directors in Southern and Eastern Africa recognize
sexual harassment happened among pupils of their establishments. And now We need to share
this, and let’s make a movement for gender equal pay! We need to be brave to change the world
and speak up! Make some noise! BECAUSE WE NEED TO BE HEARD!
