In my opinion, M-A Evans chose a man's name because women

were not valued much in Victorian England.
Women living at that time were expected to either not work at all,
and fill the role of looking after the home and being a mom, or to
work in one of the accepted jobs like being a teacher.
In order for M-A Evans to not get effected by sexism, and people
not wanting to read her books just because she is a woman, she
used a man's pen name.
2. Authors that use pen names:
JK Rowling, her real name is Robert Galbraith. she is a very famous
author that wrote the harry potter books, today she is an
inspiration for many young aspiring authors.
Stephen King, his real name is Richard Bachman. he wrote the
famous book " The Shining ", that was later turned into a horror
movie.
Isaac Asimov, his real name is Paul French. He was an American
writer and professor of biochemistry at Boston University.
3. The pen name I picked is Pancakes Fairy. I choose this name
because I think it's very cute, I like pancakes, I like fairies, why not
smoosh them together for one word?
Furthermore, I think that if you have a pen name, it shouldn’t be a
boring one, one that will make sense to have in real life, it should
be a name you can have fun with.
