Palmquist University names Michael Henry new chair of accreditation committee of the
ABA

HOSEA, Wis. – The Accreditation Committee of the American Bar Association has just named
Michael J. Henry as the new chair. He will begin these duties effective today, Jan. 26, 2023.
“No rationale individual could possibly deny that Professor Henry indubitably has earned this
meritorious distinction among other members of the human species,” Edward Mieler, dean of
Palmquist School of Law states.
Henry is a professor at the Palmquist University School of Law. Henry has been on the
committee for the past six years and he served as vice chair on the committee last year.
Henry’s term will be one year, and he will preside over committee meetings during ABA’s
annual meeting in New York this July.
"I'm deeply honored,” Henry said. “I will serve to the best of my ability."
Henry succeeds David Smith, who resigned Dec. 12. Henry will be the 14th chairholder of the
committee since its foundation in 1967.
