Respected Principal Sir, judges, teachers and all my

dear friends. I’m Neha from Bose house and today I’m
going to throw some light on the topic,”Effects of
Corona Virus on the World.”

As we all know the world is fighting with an invisible

enemy, Covid-19, a black swan event. But for better or
for worse, life on earth has changed and the world
would shift to a new normal after corona virus
pandemic.

No single economy or country will be able to impact

the world. Energy, water, food will become strategic
national issues and dependence will reduce on fossil
fuels or natural resources that are alien to a geography.
Health rather than illness will become the focus of
government activity and budgeting. People would shift
to e-commerce. Urbanisation, space utilisation and
public transport will undergo dramatic change. Office
space, physical meetings, travel will reduce.

Spectator sport and mass entertainment will move from

gathering crowds to providing personalised pleasure.
Computer and video gaming will acquire greater
acceptance. Education will be much less dependent on
physical infrastructure. Online and distance education
from school to doctoral will become the norm, with
student gatherings becoming infrequent and purposed.
Religious activities and political congregations
requiring mass gatherings will go down significantly.
The press is already moving from paper to electronic
media, newspapers and magazines will become
oddities.

The norms of social distancing will become a new

normal; no handshakes or hugs, and in fact wearing
mask has already become a trend. The society would
once again shift towards the family culture rather than
individual existence realising the importance of loved
ones in our lives. Have we ever thought that who stood
with us in this vulnerable time of loneliness and
depression? Yes, our family.

And amazingly because of corona virus, wild animals

have started wandering around the cities, pollution
levels have reduced drastically and the ozone layer has
started healing itself. Nobody knows what the future of
humanity would be after the pandemic, but it is certain
that the climate and environment of Earth are going to
be benefited. So friends till we get a vaccine and
develop herd immunity, stay safe with your loved ones
and believe in God. Believe me we will overcome this
too and will tell the tales of this ordeal to our
grandchildren.
