also teach robotics, computer technology, graphic
design, and/or computer-aided design (CAD)
• Industrial arts is an educational program that features the
fabrication of objects in wood or metal using a variety of
hand, power, or machine tools. Industrial Arts are
commonly referred to as Technology Education.

industrial/technical fields.
3. To develop problem-solving abilities related to the
materials, processes, and products of industry.
4. To develop in each student skill in the safe use of tools
and machines.
• The purpose of the industrial arts activities is to give
the student a background of our industrial society. Career
education plays an equally important role in the
educational process of the student. It involves the
student in everyday life decisions, and helps him to
become a better informed citizen in his community.

• Students lacking skill or desire to study math and science obtain
a career in industrial arts by learning a trade such as
mechanisms.
• People proficient in math and science study and out the
knowledge to use designing new products.
• Enables learners to use and understand the priorities of a wide
range of tools, machines, material and systems.
• Innovation opens up new doors for new businesses to exist
and contribute to the economy.
