Analyzing a song called “Barbie Girl” by Aqua…

I believe this song is highly not suitable for kids…

Let me start with a barbie doll…we all have seen that at one point of our life time…every barbie
doll is tall…white…slim…HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BARBIE DOLL WITH A FAT BLACK ASS?
no…of course not…
This culture wants us to be like them…specially girls…even from a young age…young girls are
exposed to such influences…makes them feel something about their body…
I still remember that one of my sister’s friends said that she wanted to become pretty…
beautiful like a barbie…a fucking doll…
You see…barbie doesn’t exist…it is just a doll…so what is happening to us is that we want to
become something that even exist…it’s like that you want to be a fucking stone…siting on the
ground day and night…it doesn’t make sense…
If you say, you want to be a god…that’s would be reasonable…cuz… people believe God exists…
But barbie…oh man…something’s wrong…

Now let’s get back to the lyrics…

It says “life in plastic…it’s fantastic” …

It tells me one thing that is concerning with surgeries, plastic-surgeries, planting silicon boobs…
As girls want to be like barbies…they need to cut their face…fix that, twist that…and the boobs…
girls want their breast big…so they put silicon, bigger than my brain inside their breast…
But one thing that freaks me out is that…girls find it’s fantastic…

“Undress me everywhere”

“Life is your creation”

“Dress me up, make it tight, I’m your doll”

“Kiss me here, touch me there”

“Do whatever you please”

“I can beg on my knees”

“oh, I’m having so much fun”

I don’t understand who agreed to put these on a song that goes viral on internet…especially
among teenagers…but Jeff…this doesn’t sound like a song…
It does more sound like a dialog from a pornographic movie…

Honestly, I didn’t prepare myself to analyze a song, which was meant for kids, to be such…like…
full of adult themes…funny thing is… I have heard this song for a decade but didn’t realize how
bad it is…

To sum up my little analyzation…because of this culture…pop culture…or popular culture

among teens…girls especially suffer from mental and physical impacts…even suicide…
In the US…20% of teens have sex before the age of 14…
Makes girls vulnerable…weak…
But funny thing is even girls who know deeply about this, still want to be “BEAUTIFUL”
Quote that “we know they’re photoshopped…(aren’t real)…but we still want to look like that”

Now I know how much we are fucked up…

“Whoever controls the media, controls the mind”
