SESSION 1 (Strength and weaknesses)

Introduction: The students will be asked about the family's strengths and weaknesses during
the first session of this training, and we will discover how well their own family is known.

Understanding Relationship characteristics that support the family's emotional health and
wellbeing are known as family strengths. Families that consider themselves to be strong
frequently express their affection for one another, satisfaction in their shared existence, and
harmony and pleasure with one another.

Instruction: The facilitators will give students a printed piece of paper, and they will respond to
the necessary issues of their family. On the left side of the paper, they will enumerate the
strengths of the family they have. While, on the right side is the weaknesses of their family
based on their own family`s experience.

Sharing: They will divide into four (4) groups, and each group consist one (1) facilitator and
everyone will each share their piece of paper they answer.

Deepening: According to raising children foundation, they are 3 qualities of good family:

1. Strong families have warmth and care


2. Good communication predictability.
3. Strong connections to others outside the family.

To help the students dealing to their family`s weaknesses. We provided some tips for them to
grow and to have a strong good family interaction. Family ties may be hampered by parents
and kids. When routines are demanding, it takes work and patience to maintain close family
ties. Sunshine wants to assist families in laying a solid foundation for their family. After all,
having solid relationships makes us feel comfortable and is crucial to sustaining our health.
Here are five guidelines to assist them in their family`s connection and to have a good bond and
strong interaction.

1. Make eating together a habit


2. Spend quality time
3. One-on-one time with each family member
4. Be involved
5. Share daily expressions of love and support
SESSION 4 (PALANCA LETTER)

Introduction: A Palanca Letter is a letter of encouragement. Palanca is a Greek word meaning


“wedge”, a wedge to open the door of love more easily. This is a wonderful opportunity to put
into words your feelings for your love ones, your hopes, dreams, love and pride. These letters
are personal and will only be read by your parents.

Instruction: The facilitators will provide a papers, coloring materials, and pens. The students will
write a love, sincere, apology letter to their parents and the letter they made will distribute to
the parent`s formation next week secretly by facilitator.

Deepening: Writing a letter lets them know their importance in your life, captures what makes
your relationship special, and demonstrates what makes the person you are with amazing to
you. Finally, a palanca letter allows your parent to see themselves through your hearts, which
is, in itself, a gift. It's because they give you unconditionally whether it's love, support, or
anything. They spend their whole life in grooming you, raising you, and making you what you
are today. Most of you would not be at this place if your parents didn't support or encourage
you morally as well as financially. The Palanca letter will help them to reach what they want to
say to their parents which they didn`t tell personally but in a creative way.
