A. General Characteristics:
1. The infrared illuminator shall have high-power LEDs.
2. The infrared illuminator shall have two models: a 850 nm model and a 940 nm
model.
3. The 850 nm model shall provide illumination from 35 m (115 ft) to 220 m (722
ft).
4. The 940 nm model shall provide illumination from 20 m (66 ft) to 135 m (443 ft).
5. The infrared illuminator shall be designed to IP66 for operation in harsh weather
conditions.
6. The infrared illuminator shall have been tested for outdoor usage.
7. The infrared illuminator shall be powered by PoE+.
8. The infrared illuminator shall be supported by a comprehensive technical
support program from the manufacturer.
B. Performance
1. The infrared illuminator shall operate in:
a. Semi-covert mode at 850 nm
b. Covert mode at 940 nm (model dependent)
2. The infrared illuminator shall use energy-efficient, surface-mount, high-power
LEDs.
3. The infrared illuminator shall produce even illumination for a balanced
distribution of light across a scene and depth-wise with circular beam angles at
10º and elliptical beam angles at 20°, 30°, 60°, 80°, and 95°.
4. The infrared illuminator shall provide interchangeable diffuser lenses to match
the infrared beam to the camera.
5. The infrared illuminator shall have a control to adjust IR intensity between 0%
and 100%.
6. The infrared illuminator shall produce even illumination across the field of
illumination.
7. The infrared illuminator shall enable increased surveillance range, wider beam
patterns, and evenly illuminated nighttime surveillance with diffuser technology.
8. The infrared illuminator shall feature an on-board microprocessor to monitor
LED feedback and output.
9. The infrared illuminator shall operate at an ambient temperature of -50 °C to
+50 °C (-58 °F to +122 °F).
10. The infrared illuminator shall enable optimal night-time performance of
megapixel cameras, pan-tilt cameras, and other critical surveillance
applications.

switching between day and night modes.

telemetry input.
13. The infrared illuminator shall have a built-in relay output to trigger another
device when switching on/off.

and adjustment.

1. The infrared illuminator shall be capable of accepting Power-over-Ethernet
(PoE+; IEEE 802.3at compliant).
2. The infrared illuminator shall draw a maximum of 26 W.
3. The infrared illuminator shall consume 26 W at nominal full power settings.
4. The infrared illuminator shall have adjustable light output.
5. The infrared illuminator shall have a sensitivity adjustable photocell for
switching between day and night modes.

1. The infrared illuminator shall have an operating temperature range of -50 °C to
+50 °C (-58 °F to +122 °F).
2. The infrared illuminator shall be environmentally sealed to IP66 for all-weather
use.

3.1 EXAMINATION
