Statement of the Problem

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of competence of the teachers of the
selected schools in Binalbagan I in relation to pupil’s academic performance.

Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the teachers of the selected schools in Binalbagan I in terms of:
a. Gender
b. Age
c. Highest educational attainment
d. Years in service

2. What is the level of competence of the teachers in the selected school of Binalbagan I
when grouped according to:
a. Gender
b. Age
c. Highest educational attainment
d. Years in service

3. Is there a significant difference in the pupil’s academic performance when grouped


according to the teacher’s level of competence when grouped according to:
a. Outstanding
b. Very satisfactory
c. Satisfactory
d. Needs Improvement
e. Poor
4. Is there a significant relationship between the level of competence of the teachers and the
pupil’s academic performance?
