How are you going to react about a negative feedback from a parent to student?

Actually, in the first year of my job, I’ve been receiving a lot of negative feedback from the
parents, but what did I do is, I reacted to it positively and thanked to their comments/feedback because
I know that they have seen or observed something from me on how I teach that I need to improve more
in order to be an effective and a better teacher.

Best teaching experience

1. I taught at private school for 6 years, and, during the first year of my job It was difficult
at first, because I found it hard to cope with the discipline issues in the classroom.
However, after few weeks I got into the groove, and learned what worked with the
students, and how to keep the discipline at a reasonable level at least. It was an
extraordinary time, and to be honest, I still miss the children. However, now it is time to
move on and start a new teaching experience again. And that’s exactly why I am here.

Memorable experience.

My students are older ones and most of them are mature enough to handle their own
problems. But when it comes to bad performance in examination, they rarely take their
failure in their stride. It was on one such occasion that some of them had done badly in one
or two papers. They were very morose and demotivated. I had to spend the entire hour
telling them that it didn't matter in the long run. This one result is just a drop in vast ocean
called Life. If they could not face failures at this level, what would they do when Life throws
up extreme challenges? It is important to do well, but even more important to work hard.
Because working hard was within their purview, results depended on many things. If they
have not shirked their duties, they should not feel bad that they had not given their best
efforts.

After the hour was over, my students individually thanked me for making them full of hope
and purpose again. I felt deeply touched.
