Fanfiction – Minárovics Réka

As the sun began to set over the countryside, Marianne Dashwood was walking through the
woods, lost in thought. She suddenly heard a rustling behind her and turned to see
Willoughby, looking pale and gaunt.

"John, what's happened to you?" Marianne asked, noticing the red stains around his mouth.

"I...I can't explain, Marianne," he stammered. "But I must tell you the truth. I am a vampire
now."

Marianne was shocked and terrified, but Willoughby was desperate to make her understand.
He explained how he had been turned and begged her to join him, to share in his eternal life.

Despite her fear and confusion, Marianne found herself drawn to Willoughby's dark and
mysterious allure. They spent the next few weeks wandering the countryside, hiding from
the world and reveling in their new existence. Marianne struggled with her new nature. She
had to kill innocent being hunting animals for their blood.

But as the months went by, Marianne began to notice changes in her body. She was pregnant
with a human child, a child that would be born into a world that could never accept her.

Willoughby was torn. He loved Marianne and their unborn child, but he knew they could
never be safe and maybe they would kill the baby when they were hungry. It almost
happened. They made the difficult decision to give the child to Colonel Brandon, who
promised to care for the baby as his own.

Marianne and Willoughby watched from a distance as their daughter grew up with Colonel
Brandon and his wife. They were filled with sorrow for the life they could never have with
their child, and Marianne grew to resent Willoughby for the curse he had brought upon
them.

In a moment of madness, Marianne took her own life, unable to bear the weight of her pain
any longer. Willoughby was devastated, but he knew that his own existence was doomed as
well. He allowed himself to be destroyed, knowing that he would never be able to live
without Marianne.

Years later, Jasmine, the child they had given up, received a letter from her mother. Through
Marianne's story, she learned about the dark world of vampires and the tragic fate of her
parents. She married Colonel Brandon, but she never forgot the love and sacrifice of her true
parents.
