Before starting on the project, start by reading the entire pattern to already give yourself an idea of what
you are going to have to crochet. You may need refreshers on some points - stitches or techniques. Books
and magazines, internet and tutorials (= tutos) will then become your best friends !
Unless otherwise stated, the pieces are crocheted in continuous rows, in a spiral. So there is no need to
close each row with a slip stitch. However, to know on which round you’re on, use a stitch marker that
you will move and place at the start of each new row.
The choice of colours, yarn and size of the crochet hook is totally up to you - I’ve noted the ones I used for
informational purposes in the materials list. Just keep in mind that it is always better to use a smaller hook
than the one tagged on the label of your ball of yarn.

st(s) stitch(es) inc increase (2 single crochet stitches in the same stitch)
FLO front loop only dec decrease (2 single crochet stitches together)
Rd 05 (3sc, 1inc) x5, 5slst with a slightly looser tension, the next row will be easier to crochet [30]
Means that in the 5th round, you will have to crochet in pink :
- 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1increase in sc - you’ll repeat this combination 5 times,
- 1slst, 1slst, 1slst, 1slst, 1slst - crocheted with a slightly looser tension,
- You will find 30 stitches total at the end of the row.
