Golden jubilee statehood day celebrated by Himachal Pradesh

 Himachal Pradesh is celebrating its golden jubilee statehood day(Jan 25 ) with full zeal across the state.
 It was on this day in 1971 Himachal Pradesh became the 18th state of India.
 Chief Minister Jairam Thakur stated that the ‘golden jubilee’ of the statehood of Himachal Pradesh
would be celebrated round the year by organizing 51 programs in various parts of the state.
 ‘Swarnim Rath Yatra’ will also be carried out to showcase the development journey of the hill state as a
part of golden jubilee celebrations during the year.
 A special postal stamp would also be released to mark the occasion.
CM Thakur launches HP''s first online youth radio station
 Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched Himachal Pradesh''s first online youth radio station ''Radio
Hills-Youngistan Ka Dil.
 The chief minister appreciated the efforts of the young entrepreneurs and said the online radio station
would go a long way in promoting culture and traditions of the state besides providing an opportunity to
the youth to exhibit their talents.
 Deepika and Saurabh, co-founders of the online radio station, informed Thakur that it would also be
available on Apple and Android mobile phones.
 Developers of the online radio station Karan, Radio Jockeys Palak, Rahul and Nidhi were also present on
the occasion.
 The online radio would go a long way in promoting the culture and traditions of the state, besides
providing an opportunity to the youth to exhibit their talents.

Himachal Pradesh becomes first State to implement e-cabinet


 Himachal Pradesh has become the first State in the country to make the end to end processing of the
cabinet paperless by implementing e-cabinet application.
 Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated the first e-cabinet at Shimla.
 The entire process from initiation of a cabinet memo, approval of the cabinet memo through concerned
Secretary, Chief Secretary, concerned Minister and finally by Chief Minister to place in the cabinet has been
made online.
 It will also be possible to monitor the status of implementation of cabinet decisions more effectively through
this application.
 The e-cabinet provides for generation of automatic s through SMS on real time basis for various stages
involved in processing cabinet issues like receipt of cabinet memo, finalization of cabinet meeting, advice
received on cabinet memo for various levels like Secretaries and Ministers.
 The e-cabinet application is also available as a Mobile App on android devices .
 The new system will bring greater efficiency in the overall process of conducting a cabinet meeting by
removing dependencies which arise due to the physical movement of cabinet memos.
‘E-Parivahan Vyavstha’ launched by Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur
 Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched ‘e-Parivahan Vyavstha’ of the State Transport
Department to provide faceless services to the people of the State regarding Driving Licence/Registration
Certificates/Permits etc.
 The Chief Minister said stress must be laid on educating the people to avail this facility.
 He said the success of this system would largely depend on how better and easily the people adopt this
service.
 Jairam said credit of this goes to the officers and employees of the State.
 He said the State Government first started e-Vidhan Sabha, then e-Budget and now it has started e-cabinet.
 He said the e-Parivahan was a step forward in this direction.

Himachal Pradesh police to organize ‘All Women Parade' for International Women's Day
 On the occasion of International Women's Day, Himachal Pradesh Police Department will organize
‘All Woman Parade' at the historic Ridge Grounds in Shimla, aimed at increasing the strength of women
in the police force.
 The state police will celebrate the Day in two sessions.
 State governor Bandaru Dattatreya will be the chief guest in the first session during which the Parade
will be held on the Ridge, while the chief minister Jai Ram Thakur will be the chief guest during the
second session.
 Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu said the state Police will hold a series of events on Women's
Day.
 On the occasion, 26 women cop will perform daring bike stunts and musketry drills, which will be a major
attraction in the first season.
 An exhibition on the theme, 'Women in HP Police in 50 Years' would be displayed at Gaiety Theatre at
six pm followed by a cultural program during the second session.
Himachal Pradesh CM inaugurates multiple services: e-Office, e-Heli Service, e-Aagman, e-Lahaul for
Lahaul-Spiti district
 Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur virtually launched e-Office, e-Heli Service, e-
Aagman and e-Lahaul for Lahaul-Spiti district from Shimla.
 Chief Minister said that all these services would go a long way in providing people friendly services to the
people of Lahaul-Spiti district on click of button.
 He said that these initiatives were the best examples of optimum use of Information Technology for good
governance.
 Information Technology Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda noted that Lahaul-Spiti would become the first
district of the State in effective adopting of e-office in the State.
 It may be recalled that district administration Lahaul & Spiti with the help of Department of Information
Technology has been working on many IT initiatives to provide citizen services digitally to the people of
tribal district.

Pradesh plans to supply over 2 lakh tap water connections across the State
 Himachal Pradesh has planned to provide over two lakh tap water connections across the State.
 Jal Shakti Ministry said that the Himachal Pradesh government has also reiterated its commitment to
achieve Har Ghar Jal target by July next year.
 The State presented their Jal Jeevan Mission Annual Action Plan for the current financial year before
the national committee chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti through video conference.
 Himachal Pradesh has over 17 lakh rural households, out of which around 76 per cent have assured
tap water supply.
 The Ministry said, since the announcement of Jal Jeevan Mission in August, 2019, over five lakh tap
water connections has been provided and so far eight thousand 458 villages in the State have been
declared Har Ghar Jal.
 The Jal Jeevan Mission is a flagship programme of the Central Government being implemented in
partnership with the States with the objective to provide tap water connection in every rural household by

Himachal Pradesh CM launches 'Mukhyamantri Sewa Sanklap Helpline 1100' in Shimla


 Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched dedicated COVID-19 Helpline
'Mukhyamantri Sewa Sanklap Helpline 1100' for facilitating the people regarding COVID related issues
in Shimla.
 The Chief Minister said, this helpline is unique in itself by ensuring effective use of technology in
facilitating the people.
 The callers can call on toll free number 1100 from 7 am to 10 pm for seeking help
regarding COVID related issues.
 The call executive would register the complaint and contact concerned authorities for providing necessary
help to the person regarding various issues such as test, vaccination, home quarantine, medicines,
ambulance and Oxygen
Pressure Swing Adsorption Oxygen Plants inaugurated in Himachal Pradesh
 Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated pressure swing adsorption
(PSA) oxygen plants at Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College in Hamirpur and Jawahar Lal
Nehru Government Medical College in Chamba.
 The CM threw open the plants virtually from Shimla.
 The plant at Chamba, which has been operational and has a capacity of 400 PLM and the Hamirpur plant,
has a capacity of 300 PLM.
 He said both plants would ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply to patients admitted in both colleges.
 The state government has taken up the matter of increasing the oxygen quota for the state from the
existing 15 MT to 30 MT with the union government so as to meet the demand of the state.
HP govt announced to provide free COVID treatment to beneficiaries of Himcare and PM-JAY scheme in
registered private hospitals
 Himachal Pradesh Government will provide free treatment to COVID patients under Himcare and
Ayushman Bharat schemes in registered private hospitals.
 According to the state government, only the beneficiaries of the Himcare and Ayushman Bharat scheme
can avail of the facility.
 Further, the private hospitals must be designated as a dedicated COVID hospital.
 Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated that,"Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to provide free
treatment to beneficiaries of Himcare and Ayushman Bharat schemes to COVID-19 patients in
registered private hospitals which have been dedicated as COVID hospitals".
Himachal Pradesh: AYUSH Dept launches statewide wellness programme 'AYUSH Ghar Dwar'
 In Himachal Pradesh, AYUSH Division launched a state-wide wellness programme ‘AYUSH Ghar
Dwar’ for COVID-19 sufferers, in Sloan district.
 The initiative aims to offer a Holistic Healthcare Strategy by way of AYUSH to make sure not solely
bodily but in addition psychological, social and religious wellbeing to COVID sufferers by way of AYUSH.
 The Ayush Ghar Dwar program is being launched by AYUSH Vibhag Himachal Pradesh in

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stones of several road projects in Himachal Pradesh
 Union minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stones of road projects worth Rs 6,155
crore in Himachal Pradesh through video conferencing from Manali in Kullu district.
 The projects included the 39-km-long Parwanoo-Solan section of the NH-22, constructed at a cost of
Rs 1,303 crore.
 On this occasion, Gadkari stated roads are prerequisite for the overall development of any nation.
 Better roads in Himachal Pradesh will go a long way in tourism promotion, he added.

Himachal Pradesh - first state to administer first dose of Corona vaccine to 100 percent of its eligible
population
 Himachal Pradesh has achieved a unique distinction of achieving cent percent target of first dose of
Covid-19 vaccination above the age of 18 years.
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the State Government and has agreed to virtually
address the people of the State on 6th of September.
 He will also interact with few frontline workers, who have done exceptional work in achieving this target.
 Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Chief Medical Officers and other senior officers of the
state from Shimla Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated that health workers would also interact with the
Prime Minister and share their views regarding making this vaccination campaign a success.
 Chief Minister directed the officers that adequate arrangements should be made for sitting of general
public at the venue where the event would be screened.
World’s Highest EV Charging Station inaugurated in Himachal Pradesh
 In a bid to promote a sustainable environment, the world's highest electric vehicle charging station
was inaugurated in Kaza of Lahaul and Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh.
 This is the world's highest electric vehicle charging station at 500 ft in Kaza.
 It is the first station here.
 If the station gets a good response, more stations would be set up.
 It will also help to check vehicular pollution.
 The magistrate further stated that two women drove electric vehicles from Manali to Kaza in order to
promote a clean and green environment.

Anurag Thakur to inaugurate various roads of PMGSY in Himachal Pradesh:


 Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has arrived to Hamirpur district as part
of his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh.
 During his visit, Mr Thakur will inaugurate various roads of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana
(PMGSY) in Hamirpur district.
 The Union Minister has inaugurated various roads made under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana at
Majhog khas, Panjot and Bharmoti of Sujanpur, Bhoranj and Nadun assembly constituencies in
Hamirpur district.
 The Union Minister will also launch the 25th Nand Ghar at Dadla in Sujapur, which provides service in
the field of child malnutrition eradication, education, health care and women empowerment. He will
also participate in the Yuva Morcha Sammelan at Tauni Devi at Sujanpur in Hamirpur district
Himachal Pradesh govt procures record amount of apple in over a decade
 The Himachal Pradesh government has procured a record amount of apple this season in over a decade.
 The HPMC and Himfed have procured the apple via Market Intervention Scheme (MIS).
 The combined procurement of the two organisations this year is close to 70,000 MT. These include over
35,000 MT by HPMC and 33,000 MT by Himfed.

 This is the maximum Himfed has procured in over a decade. Last year, it had bought 18,000 MT.
 For HPMC, too, this is a record procurement over the past decade or so.
 While the HPMC uses a portion of its procurement for making juices and jams, the rest is auctioned in
Parwanoo.
