Subject: Dimensional Analysis Instructions Memo

Good afternoon, Mr. Bramer,

Attached to this email is the memo which informs you about the results of the usability test
conducted in order to test the effectiveness of the instructions related to performing basic
dimensional analysis. The instructions proved to be useful, as the subject participant gave mostly
positive feedback.

The usability test was done with a single subject participant, who went through four problems
which the instructions set to explain. The test was measured in terms of how many questions the
participant got right, to which tThe subject answeredparticipant answered three out of four of the
questions correctly, to which she also gave both verbal and written feedback that highlights the
strengths and weaknesses of the instructions.

Although the instructions themselves were somewhat weak, the examples given with the
instructions seemed to be a main strength of the instructions. To compensate, it is recommended
that the steps in the instructions should be revised to be more concise and explain more, while
not sacrificing the examples that are given. Additionally, it is also important to discuss whether
or not the instructions should include a table of conversions, which could be debated on how
important it is to include.

Thank you for your time.
