Writing Development
I see a lot of improvement in my writing ability myself after finishing this class. The
improvements are as follows:
1. Knowledge of environmental topics. I rarely care much about environmental issues.
Through this class, I learned more about water pollution and some solutions to overcome
it. Knowledge about environmental protection is also more. This knowledge will be
useful to me in life.
2. Through group discussion exercises, I learned and exchanged ideas with friends to absorb
new ideas. These ideas have helped me improve my writing in-class assignments. After I
read through the lecture provided on the Canvas platform, I researched the requirements
and wrote the first draft. Thanks to the discussion group members reviewing the content I
have posted, I have corrected some basic mistakes such as formatting paragraphs, font
size, color, grammar errors. Thanks to these comments, I wrote a better second draft.
3. Collect the knowledge learned in the short answers of the class members. Thanks to the
group discussion exercises, I have received some opinions that are different from my
own. It helps me to have more knowledge to expand my writing ability.

Course Goals
My initial objective for this subject is to achieve the greatest possible grade, at the very least a B.
In addition, I'd like to learn some information to help me communicate more effectively in the
professional setting. I aim to use what I've learned in this class to write clear, precise reports or
instructions that will not be confusing to the reader. Three exercise packages in this class include
Instructions, Report, and Workplace Correspondence Packets. They have helped me learn some
more about the structure of some types of reports and tutorials. Although the time was short, I
also learned some useful things, such as structures of the report, email, memos through the
feedback of friends and professors. The first two packets of workouts went nicely for me.
Although I fared poorly in the last article, I am hopeful that I will meet my initial objective. I
hope my grade will be improved by my efforts to enhance the portfolio package based on the
professor's insightful criticism in earlier articles.

Assignments
Among the assignments, the instructional writing task is the one in which I engage so much time
for the following reasons:
1. Different subjects are seldom assigned to me. As a result, I thoroughly investigated and
prepared the criteria.
2. I'm used to doing exercises like this. In other classes, I've done quite a number of these
sorts of tasks. As a result, I had no problem completing the task.
If I could any assignment to this course, I suggest some kind of assignment as the following:
 1. Technical description and process analysis. Process analysis is one of the most prevalent
forms of analytical writing that you should come across in business and technology.
Process analysis might immediately result in process modifications. If you were to
examine the order distribution process at a low-performing fast-food restaurant, you
might use the results to design modifications to enhance the restaurant's performance.
2. Communicating to persuade. In the framework of professional communication in a global
economy, you will acquire the fundamental skill of persuasion. Persuasive
communication is critical in any professional setting. From a simple email plea for
assistance to creating a presentation for the board of directors, these are acts of
communication that need a high level of persuasion.
3. Proposals. A project proposal's goal is to define the services and outcomes of a possible
service provider so that decision-makers may evaluate vendors and select the best
provider for their needs. It should be seen as a sales document that persuades the
decision-maker or stakeholder that the potential provider possesses the necessary skills
and experience to accomplish the project satisfactorily.
If I could edit any assignment in this class, I would like to edit the report packet. I will narrow
down the topic to help my article focus on specific readers. I learned a valuable lesson while
working on this package: to focus on one topic and come up with a specific solution. White
papers are most effective when writing a specific solution to a targeted audience. The writer must
select a certain audience and offer a solution to them.
