I want to explain English lesson about Article.

Articles; ‘A’, ‘An’ and ‘The’

1. Article A

We use ‘a’ with words starting with a consonant sound (b, c, d, f, g, …).

Example:

 She is a beautiful girl.

 There is a pencil in my pencil case.

2. Article An

We use ‘an’ with words starting with a vowel sound (a, i, u, e, o).

Example:

 He is an astronaut.

 There is an elephant in the zoo.

Both ‘A’ and ‘An’ are used for singular nouns such as one person, one thing or animal.
3. Article The

We use ‘the’ in front of all nouns (singular and plural nouns) to describe someone or
something specific or unique.

Example:

 The boy is my brother

 The sky is so bright.
