all about.

(Read Overview)

So basically, lesson plan serves as a roadmap for teachers. When we say roadmap, it is a plan, a strategy or
a blueprint, that teachers follow as a guide towards a goal. Also it is a systematic plan meaning it requires a
step by step process to achieve a goal or objective. So there are different types of lesson plan, we have the
daily lesson log/plan which will be our focus today, we have detailed lesson plan, semi-detailed lesson plan
that has different formats but have the same basic parts. So what are those basic parts? So lesson plans
generally consist of essential components or the basic parts such as the objectives, subject matter, content,
learning resources, values integration, procedures and assignment.

So as we go through this lesson, we will also learn the key components to a successful lesson plan. So what
are these key components that plays an important role in making a successful lesson plan? So first, we have
the learning objectives – the most important part of a lesson plan that states what students will know or be
able to do at the end of the lesson. Second, we have learning activities that is designed to create the
conditions for learning. And lastly, we have the assessment or evaluation to check for students understanding
of the lesson.

A daily lesson plan also known as learning plan – a document that captures plans to acquire knowledge and
improve abilities. A learning plan has a learning area, learning competency and learning activity that covers a

So DLL and DLP enables teacher to reflect on what topics students need to go on further or who are the
learners requires additional activities, or how many earned 80% on the assessment/evaluation, how learners
learn, and how best to facilitate the improvement of their learning. One of the ways on how teachers can reflect
is by giving remedial instruction or classes.

DLL and DLP has different format or template for a lesson plan but as I’ve said earlier eventhough they have
different format, still they follow the same components that consists of the basic parts of a lesson plan.

IMPORTANCE OF WRITING A LESSON PLAN
