because of technology is equal to several billion books you can find in a library. The Internet has also
become a highway of information. Technology makes our lives easier in finding information about things
we want to find out. It gives us the information in just one click which is considered a large advantage.
The availability of information that we can see on the internet like in blogs, social networking sites, and
wikis is beneficial not just for us but the society as well. This information that we got from these sources
helps us to come up with an idea but this does not mean this information was credible. We should learn
to sort through the information, check how trustworthy the information is. The availability of
information can benefit society if the information if the author, the research, and the people supporting
that perspective are credible. On the other hand, the availability of information that we get and
information we put on the internet can create problems like invading our privacy. Also, data mining and
web mining wherein they take advantage of the huge amount of information gathered by a website to
look for patterns in behavior.

Information communication technology has various implications in our society resulting in moral
and ethical issues like in economy wherein they plagiarist/steal the work of others, and piracy wherein
they are making illegal copies of things like pirated CDs. Other ethical issues of ICT in our society are
using fake accounts just to destroy someone’s image in social media and also phonographic materials
are seen everywhere on the internet. Over the year the ICT has also impacted politicians on how they
influence and convince people by using technology as their political tool. They use technology/the
internet to spread their political agenda and to gain sympathy with citizens. Given this advantage of ICT,
there are still some countries who have lack internet access like in Africa wherein they experience
infrastructure, and also the problem is the language barrier because many Africans are not able to
communicate because of illiteracy. CT also influences how we study the culture of every raise wherein it
allows us to accurately record and describe cultures resulting in preservation, spread, and making
culture grow. Moreover, access to the internet about the culture of others brings a big impact on how
they understand the differences in how people from a variety of cultures act and communicate. In
contrast, the spread of predominant culture could lead to loss of diversity resulting in to change in how
you dress, act, or behave in social media. This may lead to abandoning own culture because of adopting
new culture.

Using ICT can also affect our physical, psychological, and social implications. Using technology frequently
and incorrectly can lead to physical problems like repetitive strain injury. Repetitive use of movements
of hands causes inflammation of tendons leading nerves to numb, tingling, and feeling pain. Using
technology every day results in eye strains, to prevent this you should take a break, minimize the use of
gadgets every day, and have an eye checkup regularly. Staying or without moving for a long period of
time may cause some problems like vein thrombosis, so it is really important for us to manage our time
equally for us not to develop any problems. Using technology often, people are exposed to lots of
information leading to psychological problems like for example information watching a video about
calamities wherein they start to feel afraid, and helpless. Too much information about things we see on
the internet can make us overstimulated and bombarded. In this, there should be a balance between
interaction and exposure to the internet. Social interaction allows us to read gestures and to understand
things way easier than internet interaction because sometimes we misinterpret the things that a person
is saying. It is also hard to determine whether they are saying the truth or not. In order to prevent we
should not act harshly when communicating online. Socialization is another implication of technology in
our society. In today’s lives, socialization on the internet had become the trend because of the
pandemic. We interact with our families, friends, and other people through the use of the internet to
reach for each other. Social internets allow us to build relationships with people outside or far from us.
In contrast, there is still a bad impact knowing that the internet is convenient and anonymous wherein
there are some who use other names and tell something who they really not. Lots of people use the
internet to communicate more often and some are getting addicted to it where they can’t live a day
without using their phones. They tend to communicate online than communicating like they used to be.
In addition, computer games are also one of the problems wherein they withdraw from face-to-face
interaction. Computer games also cause violence, crime, and sexuality which go against the morals of
everyone. ICT is also used in entrepreneurship, where they use computers/cellphone to work faster.
Technology then allows people to work out from the office which leads to flexible time and adapting
work schedules to suit their family and personal life. In today’s lives, the preservation of our planet has
been impacted by technology. The environmental impact of using technology has affected our planet
over the year. The environmental consciousness that they are practicing also contributes to the problem
of our environment. The demand for power due to technology has also become a problem. To prevent
this we should check the power requirements of each device/gadget that we incur and try to use
technology that is more energy-efficient or ecofriendly if possible.

In conclusion, technology has really a big impact on everyone’s life as it gives us the information we
needed but sometimes it results in a negative one. Internet is an online platform where everyone can
see all the posts you’ve posted, so we should keep in mind that not all information should be posted. As
from the quotation “think before you click.” And also we should always practice giving balance time in
everything, especially when engaging with social platforms or simply the internet. Too much is bad,
insufficient is also not good, and so we should balance it. Finding the right balance for everything is a
must.
