Poultry industry has emerged as the fastest growing segment not only in the livestock sector but also in

the agriculture sector as a whole. Chicken is highly nutritious and a good source of protein. Broiler

chicken is very important to our everyday living it served us food. Chicken production contributed

socially and economically through meat, manure, offerings, source of income aesthetic value (beauty),

provisions of school fees and source of employment. Broiler chicken depend on feeds because feeds is

the main source of protein. However, these are costly and feeds is the greatest cost in poultry

production. Aside from costly feeds there are also expenses in poultry industry such as construction of

chicken coop, feeding and drinking materials, electric and water bill and wage for farmers. Also bird

flu is one of the problem of farmers. Avian influenza can kill domestic poultry (such as chickens,

turkeys, ducks and geese) and it will result to a massive loss in income in poultry farming.

Various methods have been employed by industrialists and agriculturists for the formulation of

the best fermented feeds with the aim of minimizing costs or maximizing profits as well as

working within the dietary requirements of these chicken as proposed by researchers and experts

in veterinary and/or animal nutrition fields. A study has shown that the mixed solid-state

fermented of B subtilis, Hansenula anomala, and Lactobacillus casei can improve the nutrient

digestion of piglets.

This study want to help the poultry farmers to lessen the expenses and to find effective and

convenient way of raising broiler chickens (gallus gallus domesticus). The researchers aim to

find out the effectiveness of fermented Huo feeds as growth enhancer to broiler chickens. The

researchers also aim to contribute something in the economy and community. In specific to

families, poultry dealers and market vendors.
