SOMMARIO La norma definisce una applicazione delle seguenti norme HDLC:

ISO/IEC 3309, ISO/IEC 4335, ISO 7478 e ISO/IEC 7809.
In caso di difficoltà nell’interpretazione di requisiti ripresi da una o dalle
altre norme, si faccia riferimento ai requisiti originali identificati dalle norme
ISO/IEC 3309, ISO/IEC 4335, ISO 7478 o ISO/IEC 7809.
La norma definisce la struttura, gli elementi e le procedure per il funziona-
mento di un DTE che utilizzi il protocollo X.25 LAPB come specificato nella
Raccomandazione ITU-T X.25.
Le procedure sono applicabili allo scambio di dati tra DTE e DCE o tra due DTE.
Le procedure sono definite per essere adottate su collegamento duplex,
sia con trasmissione sincrona sia con bit di start e di stop (asincrona).
RELAZIONI NAZIONALI La presente norma è la revisione della UNI CEI ISO 7776:1993.

La presente norma è l’adozione nazionale in lingua inglese della norma
internazionale ISO/IEC 7776 (edizione luglio 1995) e dell’aggiornamento
Amd.1 (edizione novembre 1996).

PREMESSA NAZIONALE
La presente norma costituisce l’adozione nazionale, in lingua ingle-
se, della norma internazionale ISO/IEC 7776 (edizione luglio 1995)
e dell’aggiornamento Amd.1 (edizione novembre 1996).
La norma internazionale ISO/IEC 7776 è stata elaborata dal Comi-
tato Tecnico ISO/IEC JTC 1 "Tecnologia dell’informazione".
L’UNINFO, ente federato all’UNI, che ne segue i lavori, ha giudicato la
norma ISO/IEC 7776 rispondente, da un punto di vista tecnico, alle esi-
genze nazionali e ne ha proposto alla Commissione Centrale Tecnica
dell’UNI l’adozione nella presente versione in lingua inglese.
La Commissione Centrale Tecnica dell’UNI ha dato la sua approva-
zione il 30 settembre 2003
Rispetto all'edizione precedente, la norma incorpora l'Amendment 1:1996.
Le norme UNI sono revisionate, quando necessario, con la pubbli-

cazione di nuove edizioni o di aggiornamenti.
È importante pertanto che gli utilizzatori delle stesse si accertino di es-
sere in possesso dell’ultima edizione e degli eventuali aggiornamenti.
Si invitano inoltre gli utilizzatori a verificare l’esistenza di norme UNI
corrispondenti alle norme EN o ISO ove citate nei riferimenti normativi.
Le norme UNI CEI sono elaborate cercando di tenere conto dei punti di vista di tutte le
parti interessate e di conciliare ogni aspetto conflittuale, per rappresentare il reale stato
dell’arte della materia ed il necessario grado di consenso.
Chiunque ritenesse, a seguito dell’applicazione di questa norma, di poter fornire sug-
gerimenti per un suo miglioramento o per un suo adeguamento ad uno stato dell’arte
in evoluzione è pregato di inviare i propri contributi all’UNI, Ente Nazionale Italiano di
Unificazione, che li terrà in considerazione, per l’eventuale revisione della norma stessa.
