Course Description :

Develops technical and scientific writing skills across discipline

Provides focused preparation for the speaking and writing abilities required in
specialized domains for particular audiences. For technical systems, students produce
documentation in the form of formal and informal reports, abstracts, and reviews. The best
report-writing procedures will be taught to the students, including planning, analyzing,
purpose and audience analysis, data collection, developing revision techniques, and oral
presentations. Students are urged to select themes that relate to their majors or desired
careers.

After taking the course, learners are expected to:

1. Communicate in a precise manner technical knowledge to a non-specialized audience.

2. Choose and use the right formats and etiquette that each discipline has established.
