QUESTION TWO

a) Discuss the concepts of Financial Distress and business failure and, with the use of relevant
examples, show how these two concepts have manifested within Ugandan companies and
businesses (both local and Multinational companies) ( 10 Marks)

b) Discuss the causes that could have led to the collapse Gaaga Bus Company some months back.
( 10 marks)

c) Explain how management of the bus company could have averted the collapse. ( 10 marks)

d) What possible indicators of financial distress could management have ignored that eventually
resulted into the failure of the company? ( 10 marks)
