“The First Memorable Event I Attended”

In this essay, I will talk about the occurrence that happened and the things that I’ve experienced
attending my aunt's wedding, especially since this is the first formal event that I’ve attended.

First of all, this happened around 6-7 years ago, when I was still 9 years old. I’m still young at
that time, so I'm not that active in attending such formal occasions. To begin with, my mother and I
traveled to the church, and we were almost late at that time since we were not familiar with the location
of the event. Thankfully, we got to the church in time, and the event organizer is just lining up the main
characters of the wedding, such as the flower girl, groom, ring bearer, and others. Following this, the
mass for the wedding started, and the groom, my uncle, dressed so manly in his suit, accompanied by
his parents, walked to the front and waited for others to finish walking. Afterwards, when the bride
arrived at the front of the church, everyone’s attention was on my aunt coming out of the car with her
long white dress, and then she walked down the aisle to join my uncle in front. As my grand uncle gave
the hands of my aunt to my uncle, we all could see the joy in their eyes. At this time, the priest goes to
the middle of the altar, and the wedding ceremony officially starts.

After the mass, we all go to the wedding reception. Its venue is Max’s Restaurant, a fancy
restaurant that my aunt and uncle rented for their wedding reception. The event organizer hosted the
celebration here, and there were many performances, such as a musician performing, games, and the
relatives and close friends of the bridal couple giving their message and blessing for the newlyweds.
Before this, everyone first eats the food served at the reception, while simultaneously the big cake with
a length like a meter is being served in the middle near my uncle and aunts. They both cut a piece of it
and shared it with each other. Next, a waiter cut the cake into pieces and served it to everyone. Finally,
the bridal couple stood and expressed their gratitude to everyone. Meanwhile, this ends the wedding
party, and everyone congratulates them and wishes them a happy family.

In summary, the first event I attended, which was the wedding of my aunt and uncle, went
smoothly and gave me a memorable experience. It helps a 9-year-old me experience something new,
and I learn new things just by watching how the event goes. This essay also proves that the first things
we experience are hard to forget and will stay in our memory for a long time.
