Life Skills | Module III | Homework I

These exercises are part of Module III and designed to complement our in-class discussions on
how to increase your self-awareness while helping you set your goals, and learn time
management. These homeworks will not be shared with a third party.

Exercise 1: Self-evaluation
Answer the questions below.

A. Self-awareness

 Do I know my weak and strong aspects?

I know my weaknesses and strengths enough to manage myself. But I cannot say that
I am very successful in this. I have a lot of ideas about my weaknesses, but I do not know
my strengths.

 Am I able to be decisive/determined?
I am not a determined person. I think this is because I do not recognize myself.I think I
have very rare red lines, but I do not know if I am determined because I have not
been tested with these.
 Am I able to specify my priorities in life?

I do not think that I can determine my priorities in my life. Since we are young
individuals due to our age, I find it normal that our decisions are not clear. I can determine my
responsibilities rather than my priorities.

B. Goal-setting

 Do I have short-term and long-term goals?


I have short and long term goals, but I have little faith that they will be realized.

 Am I able to set clear goals?


I can't set clear goals. I can set small and simple goals that could be in the shorter term.

 Am I able to pursue my goals in a focused manner?


I can generally reach my simple and small goals, but not by focusing. Since there are small
goals, I can achieve this without focusing.

C. Time management

 Am I used to procrastinating?
Yes, I can easily procrastinate. I usually do most things at the last moment. I regret to say
that I did my homework at the last moment.
 Am I able to specify my priorities in a good manner?
Because I have priorities and responsibilities, there are things that need to be done from the
flow of life.

 Am I able to plan my work in a good way?


I can plan good things in the short term. I find myself successful in crisis management. But I
do not do this regularly. I can only make a good plan in the short term in cases of necessity.

 Do I leave my work to the last minute?

Yes. I usually leave my work to the last minute, though not always

- How did you select these values? Which things did you think about while making the
selection (e.g., past experiences, the decisions you took, the principles you learned from
your family, school) ?

I determined these values from my own character and by thinking about how I want the
people I want to be around me.

- Was this exercise hard or easy for you? If you found it hard, explain it.
It was a simple exercise and it made me question myself (in a positive way)
