Project Purpose What are the reasons for undertaking this project? Cite the issues and
the need to address them.

Regarding the issues that I have identified among our community, the most common problem that
I have observed is the lack of proper waste disposal as evidenced by presence of plastics, and
waste products in the surrounding environment. The goal of this project is to reduce waste in the
community by recycling most of the waste such as plastics, and metals. We can also utilize these
waste products by selling it to the junkshops, and use the money for community development. We
want to assist each and every barangay in remaining clean and having an environment that is
beneficial to each and every person who lives in that barangay, because we want a clean
environment with plenty of trees.

Project Objectives What are the goals to be achieved in this project?

 Encourage and coordinate clean-up campaigns and other activities at the community level to promote
and encourage environmental awareness and discussion of pollution and related issues.
 Encourage waste reduction, recycling, and reuse, as well as raise public awareness about waste
management and environmental issues.
 To improve the community's outdoor recreational activities
 Cleaning up garbage and refuse to promote community-based environmental action for a cleaner and
healthier world.
 To aid in the reduction of greenhouse gases and the fight against climate change, as well as to improve
the quality of the natural environment.
 To prevent the accumulation of plastics in the canals that can cause floods.

 Present this project to the officials in the barangay, and it is a program in which each barangay participates in
cleaning their environment on a weekly basis, with the barangay that observes cleanliness in their community
being recognized and earning a point for future use at the end of the month.
 Encourage the residents in the community to participate in the clean-up drive
 Solicit to other officials in the city for the needed funds for this project.
 Gather all the necessary supplies and materials for this project such as “sako”, stick brooms, black bags,
gloves, pack lunch and water for the residents, and other necessary supplies.
 Go out in the community and gather all of the trash such as plastics, Styrofoam, metals, and others as much as
possible to make the areas clean and green.
Anticipated Risks The problems you might encounter in the implementation of your

The lack of participation of the residents of the community and sometimes, it is hard to persuade them to participate in
this project and also the lack of funds for this projects.
