Travelers don’t want to get problems when having a flight so that the role of

the airport concierge is more and more important. A concierge has a range of
responsibilities, including Greeting passengers and Staying with them to meet
their needs until they are safe onboard, Helping them to collect or drop-off
their luggage, Assisting with the check-in process. Besides, an airport concierge
has knowledge of the airport layout so that they are in charge of directing
passengers to the various amenities such as departure lounge, currency
exchange, food court, duty-free shop, news stand, etc or directing them to the
correct gate for their flight. Concierges at the airport have responsibility to a
passenger services supervisor. They also work closely with other concierges,
check-in officers, security staff, airline operating staff and dispatchers. To
become excellent, they need to have some professional skills, for example
Customer Service, Written and Communication, Problem solving, Organisation
and IT skills. Moreover, they need to be friendly, flexible, confident and
enthusiastic. In addition, they have to have the ability to work under pressure
and a wonderful health because they always stand and work for long periods
of time.
