experience relies on the qualities of a tour guide. For that reason, being
a tour guide needs a lot of effort. A tour guide has a range of
responsibilities, including Greeting, Welcoming customers and Showing
them around, Planning and Organizing the itinerary, Coordinating group
tours and Providing information about the history of a particular
attraction so that visitors can gain a better understanding of this place.
Nowadays, finding an outstanding tour guide is not easy because of
some reasons: First of all, tour guides must have a high school diploma
at least. Moreover, They should have some professional skills such as
organization, time-management, public speaking and problem solving
skills. Last but not least, they need to be enthusiastic, patient, outgoing,
flexible and punctual. On every trip, a tour guide always works with
many wonderful co-workers, for example tourist information officers,
travel sales consultants, travel agencies and so on. Thanks to
globalization, the tourism-service industry develops constantly so the
role of tour guides is more and more important.
