Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate on how effective is social

media in the field of business to develop student marketing skills. By

conducting this study, the researcher will determine how effective is

social media marketing to develop students marketing skills and the

common used social media sites in marketing through online. The

type of research that is used is quantitative research. The

researchers used random stratified sampling procedure to gather the

data needed and 78 respondents are chosen, 37 are male and 41 are

female ranging 17 to 21 years old. The researcher float questionnaire

to the selected respondents of senior high school students of Bancud

National High School. The study was conducted in Bangcud

Malaybalay City. From the data gathered, it was find-out in this

study that social media marketing is an effective tool to develop

student’s marketing skills and Facebook is the common used social

media sites on marketing products online. It is therefore that social

media is effective tool that develop student marketing skills.
