-- One of ENT Workstation Models, New Millennium Grand, is designed to diagnose and
treat ENT patients, in a very comfortable way, using the basic parts, for instance, spray,
suction. surgical, instrument tray, cans, medicine bottles, warmer.

In addition, using the optional parts, such as endoscopic visual imaging system, film
view box, patient chair connected to New Millennium Grand, stool, as well as ear
irrigation system, automatic drainage system, ENT doctor can carry out their jobs in a
very efficient way

3-3. Anti-Fog
- Pressing down the switch, it automatically operates for six seconds with warm air

supplied, which is used for eliminating the fog/mist, layered on the tip of endoscopes

in the winter season or in a much temperature gap place causing to make a mist in a

dew point.

3-4. Suction & Ventilation System

1) Main & Sub-Suction System


The New Millennium Grand and Millennium Grand have two suction systems, called
main suction in front of the cabinet, sub-suction system on the top plate.
The other models have a single suction system on the top plate.
Whenever lifting up the suction holder, it automatically operates to suck the
secretions from the ear, nose, while lifting down it onto the hollow round hook, it
automatically stops.

2) Ventilation System
Connect the ventilation tube into its pipe, whenever lifting up its adaptor, the air
automatically supplies, while lifting down on its hook, it automatically stops.
Its system is used for flowing the air between ear & nose.

3-5. X-Ray Film View Box

10 Bolster Bar Insert it into the hole of the mounted arm to fasten it by its bolt.
11 Post Pole Bracket Fasten the mounted arm, inserting it into the hole.
12 Curved Post Pole Support Bar to connect the microscopic visual system.
13 Mounted Arm Knob Insert the articulated arm into its hole and fasten it by knob

1) Referring to the fig., above, assemble the parts of microscopic visual imaging system,
properly.
2) Fasten the round bracket so as to assemble the mounted arm and articulated arm.
3) Install the light source, placed on the mounted arm, above.
4) Connect the light guide cable into the socket of light source (LS-150), while the
opposite plug of it places to insert into the hollow of the articulated supporting arm,
above.
5) In addition, connect the CCD camera and its cable, placed outside the articulated
arm, fixed in a neat way by its clamp.
6) The careless manipulation of microscope head might hurt the light guide cable.
7) In case of improper display on the monitor, adjust the TV adaptor.

8) Be sure to place each pin into a corrective position, when connecting the CCD

camera to its cable.

3-7. Illumination Light


1) Usage

The illumination light helps to enlighten the surroundings for ENT doctor to be able to

diagnose and treat patients, effectively and efficiently, while it’s moved in a versatile

radius with its bulb heat emission air cooled.

2) Installation Method

- Holding up the illumination light head part by the hand, slightly forcefully insert its

plug into the hole of the end of long swivel bar, until it appears at the rear bottom

rear point through the curved post pole.

- Connect the plug into the socket.

2) Overall View
- This equipment consists of the two CCD camera socket, two light source sockets,
light intensity control knob, several one touch small switches, to be able to take
the photos by microscopic / endoscopic visual imaging system.
- The memory board inside can save the max. four photos, when taking the fifth
photo, the first photo
automatically deletes.

3) Operation Method

3-1) Touch the "Power".

3-2) Touching the "Video A", it turns on, and if you retouch the"Video A", it turns on
"Video B", and if you retouch the "Video A", it turns on "Video C".
When you touch the "Video B", at the first / second / third time, it also turns on "
Video A" / "Video B" / "Video C" in a serial.
When you touch the "Video C", it appears the same result as the above.
"Video C" is the spare electrical video outlet / receptacle / socket, located at the
right bottom of rear panel in the LS-250, as I told you before.

3-3) If you touch the "Mode", you can select the division mode of display, such as
single / double / quadruple / continuous captured mode.
For instance, if you select the quadruple mode :
Focusing on the first object by endoscope and/or microscope, touch the " Capture"
and it's saved in the memory board of LS-250.

Secondly, retouch the "Capture", and the first photo is released, and focusing on
the second object, and touch the "Capture", it's saved as the second photo.

Thirdly, retouch the "Capture", and the previous photo is released, and taking a
focus on the third object and touch the "Capture", it's saved as the third photo.

Fourthly, retouch the "Capture", and the previous photo is released and finally
taking a focus on the fourth object and touch the "Capture", it's saved as the finally
fourth photo.

And then, if you touch the "Division" in a row, which should be corrected "Retrieval",
you can retrieve the first / second / third / fourth / finally all four photos.

4.Operation
4-1. Local Control Panel System

① Main Power Switch : Turn on / off the power.


② Chair Control Switch : Whenever pressing the each icon, chair automatically lifts up
/ down, reclines down / up. As long as chair’s electrical cable
is connected to the ENT workstation, exactly.

③ Reset : Whenever pressing the “Reset” button, the chair returns to the initial / original
position.
④ Endoscopic Visual System : Ready for taking photos by Endoscopes, using the CCD
camera, inside.
⑤ LCD Monitor, 19’’ : Whenever pressing the button, it automatically turns on.
⑥ Microscopic Visual System : Ready for taking photos by Microscope, using the CCD
camera, inside.
⑦ X-Ray Film Box: Pressing the button, its fluorescent lamps turn on for reading the X-
ray film.
⑧ Ventilation : Pressing the button, the ventilation function is ready for flowing the air
between the nose and ear, as one of parts to mitigate the otitis.
⑨ Illumination Light : Pressing the button, it turns on to help ENT doctor to diagnose &
treat patients, enlightening the surroundings.
⑩ Anti-Fog Device / Warmer : Pressing the button, the heat emits to eliminate the mist /
fog, layered on the endoscopes, in particular, winter, or
the place, big temperature gap happens.

4-2. Endoscopic Visual Imaging System


- Initialization

① It’s done at the supply of DC 4~15Volt.


② The buzzer sounds after initialization.
③ Start to recognize the signal of input after initialization.
④ Check the input signal, previously set between CVBS and YC, while distinguish
NTSC or PAL and start to operate.
⑤ Initialized in the previously used mode(Single, Double, Quad Display in Monitor)

- Video Signal In / Out


① None on the monitor until the initial video signal inputs.
② Without input, it appears black on the monitor.

Initializing the input of NTSC signal, it’s automatically set NTSC color system and
it’s operated in the previous mode / status.

Ex.) PAL System, Double Mode => NTSC System, Double Mode, Live1
PAL System, Quad Mode => NTSC System, Quad Mode, Live1
NTSC System, Double Mode => NTSC System, Double Mode, Live1
NTSC System, QUAD Mode => NTSC System, Quad Mode, Live1

③ Without input, it appears black on the monitor.


Initializing the input of PAL signal, it’s automatically set PAL color system and it’s
operated in the previous mode / status.

Ex.) PAL System, Double Mode => PAL System, Double Mode, Live1
PAL System, Quad Mode => PAL System, Quad Mode, Live1
NTSC System, Double Mode => PAL System, Double Mode, Live1
NTSC System, QUAD Mode => PAL System, Quad Mode, Live1

- Buzzer
① The buzzer sounds at the initialization of memory board.
② Pressing the any button, the buzzer sounds.
③ Without inputting the signal, even pressing any button, it doesn’t sound.

Single Screen Mode Operation

MENU Key indicates the shift of the display/screen in the input.

※ Mode Shift : Inputting the menu key on any screen, it changes to the next mode.
※ Capture Image Mode Change : Pressing down the button of image division for
some seconds, you can enter the menu, pressing its system, you can choose one of
“Auto, Frame, and Field”
※ Frame Capture Image : Trembled at the capture, it might tremble from top/left to
bottom/right. In case of non-trembling at the capture, the quality of the frame capture
image exceeds that of the filed capture image.
※ Field Capture Image : Regardless of trembling at the capture, it shows the captured
display with a minute trembling from top to bottom. Its quality lowers that of the frame
capture image.

the replay after capture, it can correct the current display or can be replaced by new
captured display. Pressing the button of image division at the live status, the previous
captured image replays.

- Multi- Screen Mode Operation ( Serial Capture)

MENU Key indicates the shift of the display/screen in the input.

※ Mode Initialization : Pressing the menu key at any display, it shifts to the LIVE 1,
initialized.
※ Mode Change : Pressing the menu key on the LIVE 1 of capture, it changes to the
next mode.
※ Capture Operation Mode : Pressing foot switch at a short time, it’s captured one by
one, pressing it at a long time, it’s automatically captured at the speed, below, to the last
56th image.
Repressing foot switch in an automatic capturing, it immediately stops.
※ Replay Operation Mode : same as the capture operation mode, above.

※ Speed Control on the Automatic Capture: Pressing the button of image division at
the initial screen, you can change the icon and speed control, as shown in the table,
below.

※ Common & Translucent Icon : Common icon means the frame capture, while the
translucent one indicates the field capture.
※Figure in Icon : means the speed of automatic capture which is shown on the table,
above..

- Menu

① Menu Entrance
Pressing the menu key for two seconds, the OSD, above appears with buzzer
sounded.

② Key Operation in Menu
- Freeze Key : Choice and Release of items in Menu.
- Menu Key : Move up items or, increase the value of chosen item.
- Image Division : Move down items or, decrease the value of chosen item.
③ CONTRAST
- Basic value is 50, can change from 1 to 100.
- Ascending the value, dark color becomes more darker, while bright color
becomes more brighter.
④ BRIGHTNESS
- Basic value is 50, can change from 1 to 100.
- Control the brightness of screen.
⑤ COLOR
- Basic value is 50, can change from 1 to 100.
- Control the color of screen
- Setting value 0, it becomes black and white screen.
⑥ TINT
- Basic value is 50, can change from 1 to 100.
- Control the volume of color.
⑦ SHARPNESS
- Basic value is 33, can change from 1 to 100 every 33 base.
- Control the sharpness of screen.
⑧ QUALITY ▶
Enter the sub-menu of quality.
⑨ SYSTEM ▶
Enter the sub-menu of system related to the operation mode and other option.
⑩ DEFAULT
Return to the basic value, which can be changed including QUALITY and
SYSTEM.
⑪ EXIT
Entering exit, it disappears OSD menu and returns to the previous status before
menu.

- Quality Menu

① X-POSITION
- Basic value is 50, can change from 40 to 60.
- Move screen to the left/right side.
② Y-POSITION
- Basic value is 50, can change from 46 to 54.
- Move screen up/down
③ OUTPUT SHARP
- Basic value is 20, can change from 0 to 100, at every 10 base.
- Control the sharpness of screen to the very minute level at the video-out socket.
④ 3DYC (3D Y/C Separation)
- Basic value is 50, can change from 0 to 100.
- Control the extent of 3D COMFILTER.
⑤ 3DNR (3D Noise Reduction)
- Basic value is 50, can change from 0 to 100.
- Control the extent of 3D Noise Reduction.
- The value appeared at the right end-side is the actual one, the noisier, the more
increased its value is.
⑥ AGC (AUTO GAIN CONTROL)
- Basic value is on, when off, input value becomes gain one.

⑦ INPUT GAIN
- Basic value is 100, can change from 36 to 227.
- When inputs at CVBS , it gains.
- When inputs at S-VIDEO, INPUT Y & C gains.
- Control the signal of input gain.
⑧ EXIT
Choosing exit, returns to the previous status before sub-menu of quality.

- System Menu

① CAPTURE
- Set the saving way for the captured screen.
- AUTO : Sensing the movement of screen, in case the screen doesn’t move,
it ‘s captured as frame, vice versa, it’s captured as field.
- Frame : Screen captured as Frame.
- Field : Screen captured as Field.
- Pressing the button of image division for some seconds at the fixed display,
“Frame and Field” can be alternated.
② USB STORE (USB Only)
- AUTO : Capturing screens by foot switch, those are automatically saved in PC.
- MANUAL : Not automatically saving the captured images, it could be saved in a
specific way.

③ OSD-COLOR
- Value of Change : WHITE, W-GRAY, D-GRAY, BLUE, GREEN, RED, YELLOW,
MAGENT, CYAN.
- Basic OSD Color Change
- Basic Value : W-GRAY

④ SPLIT-LINE
- Value of Change : BLACK, D-GRAY, W-GRAY ,WHITE , NONE.
- to split the screen.
- Basic Value : NONE
⑤ BUZZER-TIME
- Basic value is 50, can be changed from 0 to 100, at the increment of one(1)
- Adjust the length of Buzzer.
⑥ BUZZER-TONE
- Basic value is 50, can be changed from 0 to 100, at the increment of one(1)
- Adjust the volume of buzzer.
⑦ MODE-EDIT
- Basic Value : 1.ONE 2.DUAL 3.DDUA 4.QUAD 5.AVI
- Changeable Value : ONE, DUAL, DDUA, QUAD, PIP, MULT, AVI, NONE
- Setting this value in the menu key, mode can be changed.
⑧ EXIT
- Choosing exit, return to the previous status before system menu.

5. Precaution in Use
5-1. Installation & Storage
1) Be sure to install and store this equipment out of water.
2) Paying attention to the air pressure, temperature, humidity, sunlight, ventilation,
be sure to install and store it out of place badly affected by particles, salty, and/or
ionized air.
3) Careful attention to the slope, vibration and impact, in particular, to transportation
should be made to install it.
4) The detachable castors at the bottom of it might be used for evenly keeping the
level of ground with safety.
5) Never install and store it at the chemical storage place or gas-generated spot
6) Install it in consistent with its given voltage, frequency and consumed power.

5-2. Checking before Use


1) Check whether this equipment is in safe and right operation or not.
2) Check whether electrical cables, earth line is connected, exactly, or not.

5-3. Checking in Use


1) Check the level of suction bottle from time to time.
2) Don’t give excessive force to the parts, particularly, illumination light, even it’s
operated in a very smooth way.
3) Be sure to have a very careful contact to the illumination light in a long period of
use, even it’s made with heat air-cooled duplicate glass, in addition, reducing the
possible damage of its heat by heat protection cover.
4) Be sure to inject clean water into the suction hose for several seconds, so as to
eliminate any possible foreign materials, which might prevent it from sucking the

secretion in an efficient way, at every time after using it, or one or two times a day.
5) Be sure to take the proper measures, for instance, immediate stoppage of the
operation of it to make sure that patients are always in safety in abnormal cases as
well as always paying careful attention to the equipment and patients in the
operation.
6) Be always careful that equipment and other electrical goods/parts mustn’t have a
direct touch with patients.
7) Be sure to use it, properly, while paying careful attention to the other electrical
parts, safely.

5-4. Checking after Use


1) Be sure to return all of local switches to the initial status before use in a reverse
sequential order, and turn off power.
2) Be sure to pull off electrical cords after all of operation stops.
3) Be sure to always clean up this equipment after using it, to make sure that next
patients can be properly diagnosed and treated.
Caution ! : In case of disconnecting electrical cables, disconnecting patient chair’s
electrical cable, and replacing fuses, be sure to disconnect the main
power cable from the socket, at first.
4) Be sure to contact the representative, or dealer, you bought, immediately, in case

it’s out of order with proper indication to parts broken down.

5) Be sure to regularly inspect the equipment and its parts.

6) Never modify the equipment, at your disposal.

6. Maintenance & Storage
6-1. Suction Bottle
1) Be sure to inject clean water into the suction bottle after using equipment on a
daily basis.
2) Be sure to empty the suction bottle not so as to raise a level beyond its maximum
one, as shown below.
3) Be sure to put a cresol by 100cc into the suction bottle after cleaning out it.

Warning ! : Be sure to clean out the suction bottle before it’s overflowing into the

sub-suction bottle, which could seriously damage the suction motor.

4) Be sure to tightly close the lid / cover of the suction bottle to avoid any leakage of

air. In case air leaks, it could decrease the suction pressure, which can’t continue

the normal operation.

5) Should waste materials with contaminated water in the suction bottle be

Over-flowed into the suction motor, the followings would happen :

- It suddenly sounds strange.

- The liquid is flowing out through the filter of the equipment.

- The fuse of the suction motor cuts off.

- It smokes in the suction motor.

1) Fill the bottle with the proper liquid medicine.


2) Put it into its case / basket and fasten it clockwise with the spray head and spray
knob, tightly.
3) When lifting up the spray, air compressor driven by motor, it’s ready for operation,
and push the knob of spray forward, the medicine automatically atomizes.
4) After completely using the spray, just place it onto its hollow holder, thus the air
compressor driven by motor automatically stops.

6-3. Vacuum Pump, driven by Motor
1) Opening the door of the cabinet, first place the sponge and put the suction motor
on it.
2) The grey hose is connected to the air inlet, the black one to the air outlet and
connect the electrical cable to the socket, as shown below.

Warning ! : If the wastes might overflow into the suction motor from the sub-suction
bottle, the internal oil of the suction motor should be replaced, accordingly.
The wastes are filled into the main suction bottle at 2,500cc, secondly sub-
suction bottle at 1,000cc, and lastly overflows into the suction motor.
The wastes are discharged / leaked out from the filter of the suction motor.

3) If the terrible event, above should happen, it might hurt the suction motor,
seriously. In that case, first, open up the lid of the suction motor, secondly take
out water and lastly replace the oil, taking a look at the oil level gauge.
4) Be sure to regularly clean the filter to make sure that the suction motor keeps
in a good performance.
5) In case the suction motor caused by the overflow of the wastes breaks down,
don’t try to repair / maintain it, at your disposal.
6) Be sure to check the screw bottle at 250cc, since humidity / moisture generates
in the suction motor, and regularly empty it.

6-4. Air Compressor, driven by Motor
1) Compressor driven by motor feed the clean air into the air tank / spray hose.
2) Connect the hose to the compressor motor, as shown below and tightly fasten it
so as not to leak the air.
3) If the air pressure is over 5kg f/ cm2 in the tank, it automatically makes pressure
switch open and discharge the air, and if it is under 1.5kg f/cm2 in the tank, it’s
automatically filled with air.
4) If the pressure switch is out of order, the relief switch automatically operates.

8. Trouble Shooting

7-1. In case Main Power doesn’t work


1) Check whether the socket is operating or not.
2) Check whether the main power cable is firmly connected to the socket or not.
3) Check the fuse at 20A, 250V.
4) Check whether the main power on the local control panel is turning on or not.
5) Completely checking the procedure, above, if it doesn’t turn on, contact the dealer /
representative in your country.

7-2. In case Local Control Panel doesn’t work


1) Should not be one-touch control panel operated, turning off the main power switch
for 5 seconds, and return on it and the power of the local control panel.
2) Even it doesn’t work, contact your local representative / dealer.

7-3. In case Non-Suction occurs


1) Check whether the suction motor electrical plug is well connected to the receptacle.
2) Check whether the suction bottle lid is completely covered or not, otherwise,
suction pressure might be leaky.
2) Check whether the suction bottles might be cracked / broken, if so, those should be
replaced by the new ones.
3) Completely clean up the hose inside, which might be sometimes clogged / choked
by human secretions, such as blood, mucous materials, sputum, etc.
In order to break the clogged parts, fill the rectangular instrument tray with hot
water and suck it into the hose inside, and firmly press the parts of the hose by
hands, which are thought to be choked.

7-4. In case Terrible Odor emits from the Suction Part


1) The terrible odor is caused by the human secrets inside its hose or human secrets
stored in the suction bottles.
2) First, fill the rectangular instrument tray with hot water, sometimes, a scanty
detergent to remove the terrible odor.
3) Start-up the suction motor to be able to suck hot water into the hose inside, if hot
water doesn’t flow well inside, believed to be the points to be clogged / choked,
firmly press those parts by your hand.

4) In case of using the detergent, be sure to limit to use a scanty amount, which might
cause to corrode the motor, easily.

Warning ! : - Be sure to completely empty the main suction bottle, on a daily basis.
- Be sure to completely empty the sub-suction bottle, if a scanty residue
remains, it might cause to emit the odor / make germs.
- Be sure to empty the screw bottle, at 250cc, which functions to collect the
condensed water from the motors.
If any secretion materials reversely flow into the screw bottle, it might cause
motors to be out of order.

7-5. In case of Weak Suction Pressure


1) Check whether the lid of the main, sub-suction bottles are fully covered.
2) Check whether the suction pressure gauge indicates the value at 0.88Kg/cm2 or not.
3) Adjust to control the part of the hole onto the suction head.
4) If its pressure still feels weak, it might be the out of order by suction motor.

7-6. In case of Over-Noisy Suction Pressure


1) Check whether the suction motor places in a right position, putting on the sponge.
2) If it still sounds very noisy, it might be the out of order by motor.

7-7. In case of Not Operating Spray


1) Check whether the spray motor is in operation or not.
2) Check whether the spray parts are well connected or not.
3) Check whether the spray bottle is broken or not.
4) Check the pressure gauge at 0.88Kg/cm2, otherwise, increase it by the knob of it
inside, taking out the surgical instrument tray.

7-8. In case of Not Spraying the Medication


1) It might be caused by the solidification of the medication at the spray nozzle, and /
or its head.
2) Disassemble the parts of the spray and soak them into the hot water for several
hours until the solid medication is melted, as shown in the < Fig.1, 2, 3>.
3) Connect one side of the nozzle into the suction head so as to suck not melted
medication completely, as shown in the <Fig. 4> and do the same process on the
head, as shown in the <Fig. 5>.

4) Checking that the clogged medication is completely melted, assemble the parts of
the spray, as shown in the <Fig.6>.

7-9. In case of Weak Pressurized Spray


1) Check whether the spray bottle is firmly fastened by its head or not.
2) Check whether the spray bottle is damaged or not.
3) It might be choked by the medication, so undertake the procedure of 7-8, above.
4) Check the pressure gauge at 2Kg/cm2, otherwise, increase it by the knob of it inside,
taking out the surgical instrument tray.

7-10. In case of Continuous Spray


1) When the knob of the spray is not pulling back in an original position, the medication
Is spraying continuously.
2) In this case, foreign materials are inserted onto the rod of the knob, so taking out
these foreign materials & apply the grease / oil onto it.

7-11. In case of Continuous Motor Operation


1) When the suction & spray put into an original position after using them, if their
motors still continue to operate, it might be caused by the micro-switch.

2) In this case, carry out the following procedure, referring to the photos :

- Open the front door as shown in the <Fig.1>.


- Lifting up the suction and / or spray, check whether the micro-switch relays the
signal, which is ready to start-up the concerned motors, as shown in the <Fig.2,3>
- Lifting down the suction and / or spray, check whether the micro-switch relays the
signal, which automatically stops operating the concerned motors, as shown in the
<Fig.2, 3>.
- If it appears that the micro-switch is operating well, place the suction, and / or
spray lines and reels in a right way without avoiding any twist / mingling, as shown
in the <Fig.4> and open the door, as shown in the <Fig.5>.

- If it appears that the micro-switch doesn’t work properly, it should be replaced by the
new one.
