Violence - war

Due to having different ideologies and decisions, some people choose violence as
way to be heard or achieve something. One fact that illustrates the importance of
war as a social issue in the Philippines is that the country has been engaged in
various internal and external conflicts for decades, which have resulted in
significant loss of lives, displacement of people, destruction of property, and
economic instability. Over 100,000 people are in protracted displacement in
Mindanao because of conflict and violence.

But why this social issue?

Violent war is a social issue that must be addressed because it has devastating and
long-lasting effects on individuals, communities, and societies!

What is Human Dignity?

Every person deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and empathy, and this
is the underlying principle of human rights. No matter one's race, gender,
religion, or social standing, everyone has the chance to achieve success in a
society where human dignity is respected. This entails treating people fairly,
giving them the freedom to decide for themselves, and giving them the support they
require to succeed.`

1. It harms people around the area such us security and health. Everyone has the
right to life that has security and this social issue does not respect this. As
human beings, it is essential for us to have access to our fundamental necessities
and it is our right to live a decent life.
2. it can lead to destruction of infrastructure ainlcuding home, schools, hospital
etc. Therefore it violates the human right to develop intellectual abilities.
3. It limits the person's eutnomy and ability to have a choice in their own life.
When people have limited or no choice, they may feel powerless and unable to take
ownership of their circumstances.

Economic: Infrastructure are mostly wrecked and jobs are halted hence the stop or
slow pace of economy
Political: Law are usually not recognized in this type of situation thus making
person not having a freedom that they deserve.
