Speaking and Presenting

Task: Analysis of 3 different podcasts.

Step 1. Research
Students will use the Podcast app, spotify, (or anywhere else that they can find podcasts), to
find 3 different podcasts that align with their personal interests. Length can range from
approximately 5 minutes to 1 hour each. Include a variety of themes:
- News
- Music
- Art / Architecture / Design
- Comedy
- Politics
- Gaming
- Sports
- Mystery / True Crime etc.

Step 2. Compare and contrast each podcast using the visual organizer below.

Step 3. Summarize the content of each podcast in 2-3 sentences.


Step 4. Analyze the effectiveness of each podcast.
- Is it good? Why or why not? How?
- Try to be as detailed as you possibly can.

Step 5. Share your findings with a small group on Monday. As you present, your group members
will take turns asking questions. You may ask one of the following guiding questions, or make up
their own. These conversations will be assessed using the following rubric.
