INTRODUCTION:
The project road originates from NH-326 near Panchada square and connects
Giriligumma. The main function of this road is to facilitate the vast amount of heavy
commercial vehicles plying on this road on a daily basis.
In this DPR road improvement to has been proposed for a length of 18.423 Km
starting from CH.0/000 to CH.18/423.

Existing Road Condition: The carriageway width of the existing road is 5.5 m
(Intermediate Lane) with 1.5 m Earthen Shoulder on both sides. The Existing pavement
is flexible type which has been damaged at several location due to plying of heavy
vehicles. However, the condition of Rigid pavement is somehow in good condition
hence, strengthening of only flexible pavement has been proposed in this DPR.

SCOPE OF IMPROVEMENT:
Material Assessment: Aggregate will be available for the work from Panchada Quarry
with a lead of 15 km, Sand for filling & for mortar will be available from Lulla River with
a lead of 25 km & Pichudi river with a lead of 76 km respectively, Cement will be
procured from Semiliguda with a lead of 51 km, HYSD Bars will be procured from
Berhampur with a distance of 215 km, Emulsion will be carried from Vizag with a lead
of 269 km to site. A quarry Map depicting exact location and distance from where
material will be assessed is attached.
Man Power: Labour will be sufficiently available for the work and will be paid as per
the rates prescribed by State Govt. from time to time.
Machinery: The executing agency will mobilize machineries as per the requirement for
the work as described in Work Methodology.
Rates: The present labour & material rates in force by the state Govt. has been taken
for rate analysis. The M.O.R.T.H, data book and State S.R. 2014(Post GST) & A.R has been
followed to arrive at rates of different items of the estimate. Rate for HYSD Bars has
been collected from SAIL and for Bitumen, rates of IOCL is considered.
