Turtle and Matsing are best friends.

The turtle is kind and helpful, but Matsing is cunning and

funny. One day Aling Muning gave them a bag of noodles. "Come Matsing, let's eat the noodles",
said Tortoise. "Oh maybe that's already spoiled," said Matsing. "The good thing is, let me eat that
first so we can make sure the food is poison-free," he added. "Matsing doesn't smell of spoiled
food and Aling Muning won't give spoiled food," said Pagong. "Even so, I will eat first," Matsing
insisted. The poor Turtle could do nothing but indulge his naughty friend. Matsing finished the
noodles and there was nothing left for Turtle. "Sorry friend, I ate so much noodles that I didn't
have any left over. Just eat next time," explained the cunning matsing. Due to the nature of
Tortoise being kind and patient, he never argued with his friend. As they toured the forest,
Turtle saw a banana tree.
