Answer the following statements:

1. How do you define the word "professional"?

When most people think of the term 'professional,' they think of someone who makes a
living out of a particular craft or trade. They may think of lawyers, doctors and teachers, to name
a few. However, the concept of 'professional' is much broader than simply referring to someone
who earns a living through a particular craft or trade. Instead, the term 'professional' refers to any
person who has dedicated time to training himself and has chosen to make a career of his
hobbies.
For me professional means adhering to certain standards in both my personal and work
life. This includes being honest, punctual, and dressing appropriately for the occasion. At work, I
am always respectful to my colleagues and clients. I am also always striving to improve my skills
and knowledge so that I can be the best at what I do. In my personal life, I am always polite and
respectful to those around me. I also dress and groom myself in a way that is professional and
presentable. I believe that by adhering to these standards, I am able to create a positive image
for myself and my business.

2. What do you mean by Code of Conduct?

A code of conduct is a set of guidelines that outline how you should behave in certain
situations. It is important to have a code of conduct because it helps to create a positive and
productive work environment. Having a code of conduct also helps to set expectations and to
hold everyone accountable.

3. Define morality.
For me, morality means doing what is right, regardless of the consequences. It is about
doing what is best for others, even if it means sacrificing your own happiness. It is about being
honest, even when it would be easier to lie. It is about being kind, even when it would be easier to
be cruel. It is about always trying to do what is good, even when it is hard.

4. Give at least five reasons why the code of ethics/conduct is important to the engineering
profession.
The code of ethics/conduct is important to the engineering profession for a variety of
reasons. First, it sets out the professional standards that engineers are expected to uphold. This
helps to ensure that engineers act in a professional and competent manner, and that the public
can have confidence in the engineering profession. Second, the code of ethics/conduct prov ides
guidance to engineers on how to deal with ethical dilemmas that they may face in their work. This
is important because engineers often work on complex projects that can have significant
implications for public safety. Third, the code of ethics/conduct helps to ensure that engineers act
in the best interests of their clients and the public. This is important because engineers often
have a great deal of responsibility for the design and construction of critical infrastructure. Fourth,
the code of ethics/conduct helps to protect the reputation of the engineering profession. This is
important because the public perception of engineers can have a significant impact on the
profession’s ability to attract and retain talent. Finally, the code of ethics/conduct helps to ensure
that engineers are accountable for their actions. This is important because engineers have a
great deal of responsibility for the safety and well-being of the public.
