Manifolds
Manifolds are available in a variety
of styles and are designed to be
interchangeable. There are a number of
considerations when selecting a manifold.
In a multi-user lab it is often best to utilize
a robust stainless steel manifold. In
applications where inorganic solvents are
being utilized or you are rack drying and
want to ensure visibility an acrylic manifold
would be preferred. In applications
with organic solvents the stainless steel
manifolds will provide long lasting use.

footprint
• Refrigeration packages for maximum low
temperature of -55°, -75°, -85° or -105°C
• One touch start-up and shut-down
• Pressure control to avoid back-streaming or for
faster freeze drying
• A variety of manifolds to accommodate most
processing configurations
• Rugged and reliable Pirani vacuum sensor
• Hot gas defrost in approximately 10 minutes or
less
• Optional vacuum pump isolation valve
Selection Guide
There are two main criteria for selecting the benchtop freeze dryer that is right for
you. The first is determining what condenser capacity you need in between defrost
cycles. The second is to determine what solvents you may be using in your process.
When utilizing water as the only solvent the highest condenser temperature offered is
appropriate. In cases where organic or inorganic solvents are being utilized as part
of the solvent matrix the lowest temperature condenser is always preferred.

Wide Mouth Filter Seal Flasks
These borosilicate flasks are specially designed for manifold freeze drying. The flat
bottom makes it easy to stabilize the flask in its upright position for “plug” or static
freezing. The wide mouth of the flask makes it easier to place product in the flask and
perhaps even more importantly, remove product from the flask. The snap on silicone top
ensures a good vacuum seal and comes complete with a filter to eliminate the possibility
of cross contamination when several flasks are on the same dryer. All components can
be autoclaved. The flask itself is available in regular and in safety coated configurations.
Must be used with manifold adaptors.

Two container systems are offered. One for bulk and one for stoppering
applications. Containers are made of 304 SS and are attached to your
manifold with vacuum tubing for processing in bulk or in vials.
