“Children are born with a powerful brain that matures slowly and predisposes them to acquire new
understanding that they are motivated so share with others”

1. How do you understand the saying?

- This sayings , says a lot of things and happen to us this means that we have lived with a broad
mind and gradually matured when we growing up and our understanding is also different in the days
that we think about the things,and there are things that we think about to share with others , so that
we can also share what we want to share with them , and as we grow our understanding of the things
that happen to us also expands in way of thinking what make better .

2. Are children has different reading development?

- Yes, because children not the same wants but every children want to learn to read and write and to
the good things in different ways, but some children prefer to learn by seeing or hearing , others by
doing , some reading , and others by asking questions.

“Learning to read and learning to speak begins at the same time”
Do you agree or disagree with the statement above?why?give some examples to support your answer

- No, I don’t agree to this statement , because at my situation I learned to speak first before I learned
to read , the first word that I was spoken was “MAMA” ,but not at the same time as I spoke, I also
learned to read, we learn to speak first than to read , because there are children who do not know how
to read quickly , but learning to speak is easy , learning to speak does not need a book , but learning to
read still needs a book , so for me , we learn to speak first than to learned how to read.

ACTIVITY 4
REFLECTION; Engraved thoughts

1. I learned that the lesson about linguistic and literacy development of children and adolescents
have a lot of knowledge that we can apply to our future children or in the children in our home , its all
about children and way of their growing up .

2. I realized that even though I don’t have a young sister\brother I can use this lesson in every
children that who I want to share or use and help them in way that I can help them.
3. I hope to learn more on about the rights of children or in there way how to live and learn the
things that can give them a peace of mind , positive mindset and doing the things that can help them
growing up in the good way .

4. I am having difficult on the lesson 3 about the saying like what I said , because we learn first how
to speak than to learned how to read.
